Hey all, just wanted to say that I want to apologize in advance if I am a bit disjoined or scatter brained for the next few days. Thanksgiving night my ear infection spread to include half of my face, and I couldn't close my jaw, as well as being in excrusiating pain.

Last night I went into the emergency room, and spent most of the night getting shock amounts of anti biotics and painkillers, in part because I couldn't handle the pain, and in part because I start my new job Monday, so I really have to be off these painkillers by then (bad form to fall asleep at my desk the first day and all).

So, to make a long story short, I'm on two anti biotics and two painkillers right now, so anything I say could be a least a bit off for the next few days. That having been said, I'm feeling MUCH better right now (well, to be honest, I'm not feeling much of anything right now).

Well, I wisht that all goes better with you, KEJR! Search for a good Selunie priestess for a healthy recovery.

And congratulations for the job!

Oh, no problem at all. My jaw is starting to feel better now, so I might even be able to eat solid food tomorrow! (I hope we still have left overs . . . )

I apologise for not responding earlier KEJR... I was terribly busy yesterday.

However, I hope all goes well for you. And congrats on the new job.

I have a cure all my great gran gave me the recipe to, If your interested?

4 Shots of Bourbon
2 Shot of Southern Comfort
4 Shots of freshly squashed Lemon
1 tspn of clear honey
4 shots of boiling water

Mix together and drink as hot as you can.

To be taken at least 3 times a day!!!

It's quite sweet but I always take it when I'm feeling worn out or Flu ish.

If it don't cure you, you will not care anyway!!

Delz

It works pretty well too if you substitute the lemon and water for bourbon and southern comfort.

Get well soon

Get well soon, I enjoy reading your stuff.

Perhaps pizza from Papa Dell's or Garcia's would help the recovery.

Good luck on the new job, too.

Aye get well soon KEJr

KnightErrantJR Posted - 26 Nov 2006 : 12:34:51
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, I appreciate it. I strongly suspect that working 10 12 hour days in a row kind of torpedoed my immune system, and since I volunteered for it, I have no one else to blame but myself.

At any rate, feeling much better than two days ago, but the pain can still get pretty intense at times. All systems should be a go for Monday though, so that is definately a positive.

Hope you're Ok, and well again soon.

Sorry to hear about your setback, sir Knight.

Luckily, I just rolled quite high on my Heal check. If you are on any sort of antibiotic dosage, you may want to think about consuming sort sort of fermented food which provides you with PROBIOTICS. Any easy fix would be to purchase some high-quality, organic, plain yogurt and eat it on an empty stomach and before you go to bed. Just a few heaping tablespoons a couple times a day should offset some of the damage the antibiotics will inflict upon your system.

May Lathander smile upon you and bestow a measure of vitality upon you as you are "reborn" into your new job! Get well soon!

Hope you feel better, bud.

And I'll also say "Congrats!" about the new job... I did the same thing a couple of years ago: left one job at Thanksgiving, started the new one the following Monday.

Thanks for the well wishes . . . this came on really suddenly, and I've never been in as much pain as I was in last night. If anyone asks you if you want an infection in half of your face, definately say no

My word, i'm sorry to hear that, KEJR. I hope that all is well soon and that it doesn't taint thy reading of Realmslore too much

Feel free to pen any lore in thy current state too...we'll sift through any garbage afterwards

Hm, perhaps something about the Far Realm would make sense in this state,
