Well met!
I am Frethesh, and since I am a somehow dedicated RP-gamer
I do use this name for my favourite elven mage-char
in the D&D and esp. in the NWN-Worlds.
I just read the "Blackstaff"-Novel and searched the web for more
informations on the City of Hope. There seems nothing in the
net that can be found, but since my search led to the
books of candelkeep...
Does eventually someone here know something about this city,
its inhabitants and its unique features? (according to the novel that
seems to be a nice place for me to live..)

Well met, Frethesh

Welcome to Candlekep. Ye will find many scrolls and tomes herein to continue thy reading after Blackstaff (feel free to post thy comments in the Book Club here at Candlekeep too ), and many scribes with which to discuss this lore of the Realms.

Enjoy thy stay.

Greetings to you Frethesh, and welcome to Candlekeep.

Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the extensive Realmslore of the FR setting. As well, you will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been generously provided by the Great Sages of the Realms themselves.

So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, or to merely discuss some element of the Realmslore, then simply find the appropriately place or shelf within the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes, the dedicated staff of Candlekeep, or even a visitor to these halls, will always be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.

See you in the library.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

As for your questions about Blackstaff... There's some threads about it in the Novels section, and the author, the Esteemed Sage Steven Schend, frequents these forums and even has his own Q&A thread.
