Gentlefolk,

Just starting a FR campaign, my first ever campaign as DM (though I've played too many years - I started playing chainmail before they added the Lord-o-the-rings armies and stuff. Playing D&D for some time, but never as DM. Might be a short campaign...

Anyway, I've just found this site while researching the campaign area (Giant's Plain and Greenfields, where Comyr noble wannabe's are trying to carve out some new holds).

Also I'm trying to find more info on lost empire of Arunduth (Lost Empires of Faerun - on the map but there appears to be no info...), and the Dodkong of Cairnheim's "Crown of Obadai" (Underdark - again, can't find any further info), both of which I hope to use in my campaign.

Sadly, none of the icon images quite have enough grey hair or wrinkled skin - though I hadn't thought of the Cowled look that some others have - not a bad idea...

Anyway, thanks for being here.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Well met. Seeing how I'm new to these halls also, allow me to be the first to welcome you. Unfortunately, I can't help you with your questions, but I'm sure a more learned reader than I will wander past shortly and direct you to the correct bookshelf. There are so many stacks of scrolls around here, sometimes it's hard to find what you're after! Praise be to Oghma that there are so many masters of lore on hand who are willing to help.
