Posted - 25 Apr 2006 : 22:45:53 Greetings fellow scribes, both old and new, those who remember me and those who do not!
It has been a long time since I wandered these halls, but I was recently reflecting on various events in my life, and one of the biggest was learning of the Forgotten Realms, and subsequently getting much inspiration from the tales and characters I read of. Although I did not play a particularly active part in these forums, I greatly enjoyed reading them, and re-visiting the other day reminded me how much I had missed them....so a great thankyou to all who play a part in the upkeep of this place!
Some brief news of a more personal nature...after many years in the wilderness of romance, I finally turned to online personals, and to cut a long story short, later this year I will be marrying a lady I met through there! Although she hasn't played or read any FR, or AD&D, she's very keen to get into it, and I'll post a separate scroll asking for suggestions for beginners (we've already done some Warhammer Quest, which she greatly enjoyed).
Anyhow, I have a LOT of catching up to do, but I look forward to seeing all of you around these great Halls! |

Sage - I do indeed remember the Sea Battle story which I was working on....and I hope to continue it after I finish my finals for my degree in alchemy (*materials sci/engineering*) which are on in the next month. But no... it is you! Wonderful. Welcome back Alexis... 'tis truly good to see you visit these halls once again.
Tell me, what become of that ship-based short story I was helping you do Realms research for three years ago?
(I even found the old scroll:- http://candlekeep.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=815)
