Well Met one and All, Greetings from the LaughingWizard! I've been a longtime walker of the Realms and my walk has led me here. I am looking forward to "getting lost" among the stacks! Forgive me if I don't quite yet know the etiquette of the place. Until Next, Wiz.

Ah so memory does serve correctly! I had to dig a little in the ole gray matter for that fuzzy little remembrance! I shouldn't refer to such things though, it gives away my age to the astute thinkers out there! (Thirtysomething??? I can't quite remember.... Truly I did enjoy Dragon alot when Roger (alias Rogar of Mooria) was the editor. I thought it went downhill when he moved on. Does anyone know what ever happened to him? Wiz.

So, you're saying it WASN'T a referance to Rupert from 'Survivor'?!?

JUST KIDDING!!!!!

I believe that it was Roger Moore who unleashed Giant Space Hamsters on known space, and who also created the most powerful one of the lot: the legendary Giant Space Hamster of Ill Omen that I draw my name from.

'Tis a Spelljammer reference, actually.

To get the line at the bottom, go to your profile. In the box labeled "signature," type in what you want (sorry, but I claim the "I am the Giant Space Hamster of Ill Omen!" line for myself! ). If it doesn't default to it, select Yes for both boxes below that, "View Signatures in Posts?:" and "Signature checkbox checked by default?:"

That'll set you up, and forever thereafter, when you make a post, your chosen signature will automatically be apended to the bottom.

Hello, Hello, Hello! and Well Met!
I certainly do like to laugh, and am honored by the welcomes! I am most definitely an ally to my friends! (Laughing again!) No evil chuckles here. I'll save them for when I DM!

Hmm... a wizard who laughs. Never a good thing unless he is an ally. Welcome aboard jovial one.

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Well Met, Sirius. What truly brought me here was the issue of Spellfire. I just finished reading "Hand of Fire". I was really looking for a reason why Mr. Greenwood chose to use the plotline he did. I found an interesting thread after some searching and also the "whys" I wanted to know. I'll be found there. Look forward to talking to you.

Nice to meet you LaughingWizard,

I'm glad Shaundakul has guided your path to Candlekeep. Take a look around and don't hesitate to ask any questions. As for etiquette, I think you'll find the atmosphere very informal and friendly.
