A humanoid shape can be seen in the shadows, but it is difficult to quite make it out. It *is* possible to tell that the shape is fidgeting as if not certain of whether to make a move or not.

Finally the figure moves out into the light, quite obviously uncomfortable.

The creature is indeed humanoid, but black fur covers her entire body, pointed ears adorn the top of her head, and from her lower back protrudes a long tail - also furcovered. She looks shockingly feline, in fact, a rough description of her could be a cross between a panther and a human.

"Greetings, everyone."

She waves shyly.

"Uhm, I, er, hope you won't mind me sticking to the shadows... people tend to be... well, unsettled by my looks."

She moves as if she's on her way to slink back into the shadows...

"Of course you may. Not that it would help you much, 'cause I don't remember the exact meaning.

I play Call of Cthulhu regularly, and I love H.P Lovecraft's stories. The sig line is merely taken from one of these stories. I do believe it was yelled by Cthulhu worshippers. Of course you can always google it ;) That should get some hits."

Hmm... Perhaps this is where the Hamster should start running.

No worries -- not only am I a Giant Space Hamster, I am the Giant Space Hamster of Ill Omen! I command swarms of Miniature Giant Space Hamsters, and gnomes across known space fear my wrath...

But just in case... *prepares to summon a Fire-Breathing Phase Doppelganger Giant Space Hamster*

*snickers* The people here have gotten used to the presence of a Giant Space Hamster. Compared to that, a catgirl is not all that unusual.

Have no fear about sticking to the shadows as all are welcome within these halls...

Seriously, welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay.

::Anubis bows deeply, his hands held wide to his sides::

Welcome, Miss Jemima Aslana, to Candlekeep. If 'tis your preference to stick to the shadows, then feel free to do so. Yet know that within these walls there is no need to do so. There are many people, of various shape of form, who come here and we treat each as they treat us. So please, do join us in our converstaion :).

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!
