Posted - 24 Aug 2004 : 16:37:37 Hello, people of the forums. I hope to read many of your posts in the future.
A little about me: I have been buying Forgotten Realms books since 1993. When I first started reading them it was the mystery that had me hooked. It seemed like there were so many mysteries waiting to be uncovered. It is still the same thing thing now that keeps me such a big fan.
I love the art and maps in the books, but I can't picture what certain things look like. Without topographical information it is hard to tell exactly how villages and cities look. I did the drawing of Shadowdale originally because I personally needed it to visualize the town. Then when I posted it on the WotC forums I had a good response, so I decided to do some more.
I know that doing drawings can take away from the perfect image in people's minds. But at the same time I think art can help a person visualize something that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I hope my art only adds to the wonderful world that Ed Greenwood has created. I have many more drawings to come. I hope you like them.

Yes, I am currently working on a Waterdeep painting. |

Posted - 24 Aug 2004 : 20:32:18 Welcome to Candlekeep, fellow Vancouverite/Forgotten Realmsian... May you be filled with knowledge, and perhaps some good ale... P.S. - I have checked out your homepage, and love your art - it is truly done with feeling, and each one gives off a powerful mood. Keep them coming, and post them at the Candlekeep site... as much as you can.

Very well said. Your talent with words matches the wonderful work you've done via art. Thank you for sharing your drawings and Welcome to Candlekeep.
