I am returned from the Moonshaes, where I had productive scholarly moments, despite the efforts of rogue Bhaal cultists still lingering in those lands . . . .
I understand as well that I was not the only one plagued by evil forces. Apparently some fiends took advantage of my absence to wage a seige on these gates of knowledge.  (Yup, now I'm back, so nothing to worry about, folks. Except perhaps draconic egos.)
The group of scholars and pilgrims I was with were enjoyable company . . . most of the time. I roomed with one young monk who liked the bottle a bit overmuch, and the daughter of our leader liked it (and a certain noxious weed) even more. Indeed, I was one of only two who did not partake of a certain dark-colored brew when we visited a famous brewery in the City of the Black Waters.
We also had an exceptional horseless-carriage driver who obviously had a skill modifier for its operation somewhere around +70, judging by the way he maneuvered that monster through spaces I thought far too small. In fact, he only misjudged once, and (as our leader put it) "left his mark in Galway." (He took that a bit badly, I have to say.)
He also had a good singing voice, and sang us songs about the regions we were passing through; he was full of good tales and times. We really lucked out with him. He really went the extra mile (sometimes literally).
Now then. Seems I've got some work piled up here. I didn't have as much time as I hoped to get some Candlekeep work done while I was gone, so I suppose I'd better get busy before Alaundo deducts a star or two.  |

Still, as I mentioned, it's the rain that makes the land so green, and it wasn't unenjoyable. You should have felt the wind in County Mayo -- it was strong that day. Almost knocked me down one time, and while my human form isn't a heavyweight, it also isn't small.

Ah... the dragon has come home to roost... Let me be the first to offer you the warmest "welcome back" sir... You've been sorely missed by all of us -- moreso the poor sods whose duty it was to attend to your responsibilities during your extended absence.
I see that your studies went well, and you appear to have made the acquaintance of some "interesting" associates.
Well, I'm sure you have many an interesting tale to tell, and as is always the case, little time to tell them. So, I will let you to return to your duties here at Candlekeep and ask only, that you allow me the pleasure of your company at the inn later tonight. Join me for a time of good drink, fine stories, and whatever other kinds of mischief we can create...
