Aye, well met ye good people.

Since there's a "Welcome"-Forum around here I thought I should announce my entrance in these sacred halls - although it may not be of any interest to anyone.

I've known the Candlekeep-website for a few years already but never visited it much, but of late a strange compulsion overcame me to register here - so that's what I did.

I'd classify myself (in terms of FR-lore/knowledge) an advanced novice, I've played the computer Games NWN+Add Ons, the Baldur's Gate series and the Icewind Dale games and I've also read about... *counting* 43 Forgotten Realms novels, including the Elminster Series, all of the novels dealing with Drizzt, the Return of the Archwizards series, the Erevis Cale Trilogy, the Cleric Quintet, War of the Spiderqueen etc. and I've looked around the internet a bit for FR stuff.

Unfortunately I've never played PnP D&D before though I hope to do this sometime in the future, thus I have no practical experience in use of the D&D rules, game dynamics etc. apart from the things I could snap up from the computer games.

Oh, by the way, I'm 19 years old and I'm living in Austria - I nearly forgot this part.

Usually I don't feel like writing this much but I feel kinda enthusiastic right now.

Well met

Indeed, Panador. As stated on the description on the main page, this area (along with the Candlekeep Inn) do not increase your count.

However, your Realmslore contributions will certainly help you increase through the ranks

Well met..and welcome to these halls of knowledge.. I also have never played D&D...many of the scribes haven't. Remember to keep your sword in your scabbard at all times, and never make Alaundo mad.
Have a good visit!!
Fight strong,

Thanks for the nice greeting. :)

Oh, btw. concerning the Erevis Cale Trilogy - of course I haven't read the whole trilogy yet, that would be pretty amazing given that only two of the three novels have been released yet. :D

Hm, it's kinda hard to get used to write smilies with []...

edit:

I wonder - why does it still say 0 Posts at my shortinfo? Do posts in this Welcome-forum not count?
