Posted - 26 Jul 2004 : 16:40:01 Hello, I am new to this forum. I payed a little D&D when I was a teenager, though only with my brothers, that has almost been 20 yrs ago. Now I mostly play computer RPG's. I have played the Forgotten Realms games on PC about 10 yrs ago (Pool of Radiance...). Now I am trying to find those old games and play them again for nostalgia's sake. And used to play the old Ultima games, played II & IV. Now I play Warcrafts (1, 2, & 3), and Diablo (1, 2, & LOD). Actually I don't play online though, too frustrating with only dial-up connection.
This seems like a pretty neat forum. Glad to have found it.
What all FR RPG's are out there for PC now? Are there any "Current" FR PC Games out right now?
I don't think I'd be playing D&D as in the non-computer version as I don't know any ppl who play, I live in a smalllllll town, almost a village you might say.
Anyway, hello to all. |

The most recent FR CRPG is Demon Stone, but I wouldn't recommend it. Ditto with the second most recent one, Icewind Dale II, though it is a bit better.
On the other hand, if you haven't played Baldur's Gate, or Baldur's Gate II - you must! Truly top quality. You might also want to pick up the online Neverwinter Nights.

Posted - 26 Jul 2004 : 19:09:01 I found a collection of older Forgotten Realms games collected in one box about a year and a half ago. It may still be out there. It had about a dozen games on it. Good luck in finding it, it is fun to go back and play the classics. Welcome Chabat. |

Enjoy your stay. We're a friendly and reasonably harmless bunch, and more than a few of us know a thing or three about the Realms. Kick back, ask any questions you want, and share and partake of as much lore as you like! |
