I have been a member for a little over a day now, and I feel just a little out of place. As a scribe of history I wish to know as much as I can, and yet I have only read the Avatar Trilogy, The Dark Elf Trilogy, and The Icewind Dale Trilogy. I have also played BG1 for PC, though I could never beat Saravok, and I have been playing D&D for 2 or 3 years now. Now at Candlekeep, I feel a bit dwarfed. With such a great library, I just don't know where to start.

Thank you all. I feel much better now. I hope I can contribute as much as I inquire. :)

Welcome aboard!

Most of us old hacks that have read a ton of stuff are still learning new stuff here everyday from people like Sarelle, Gion, and yourself. Everyone has different interests, interpretations, and insights. As a result, all can contribute something new and worthy to the various discussions.

Well I've only read the Dark Elf Trilogy, the Starlight and Shadows Trilogy and a bit of Evermeet: Island of Elves - so you're ahead of me there, and I think I've fitted in here quite nicely. Right guys?
*A tumbleweed blows past in the silence.*

Well.... yeah. Seriously - Welcome to Candlekeep, and trsut me you'll fit in fine.

Well, I've only been here for a week myself. I'm happy to see that The Realms has a growing body of scribes .

Welcome to Candlekeep!

No need to be timid. We may get a little goofy sometimes, but on the whole, we are a friendly and reasonably harmless bunch.

There's a lot of people here who know a lot about the Realms, and we have many of the authors and creators here, as well. So feel free to ask any questions, because someone will eventually turn up with an answer.

Just jump right in! We're a nice crowd. Many scribes' doors are always open...if you have a question, feel free to contact me using any of the myriad methods I have listed...

Well first off welcome. I hope you enjoy your stay.

Try first doing a search for some of the trilogies or Realms names you are familiar with or things you wish to learn more about. The search function at the top of each page can assist you a great deal in finding threads on a variety of topics.

If you have any problems utilizing it just give a shout.

Welcome again.
