Greetings to you all! It's so good to see a place of learning and enlightenment still standing in times like these. I am Urlithani Windleaf, elven warrior dedicated to the safety of the Silver Marches and her people. I have come here to learn more about the world in general, and hear stories and tales so that I might one day return and aid my clan and friends in a greater capacity than just as a simple woodsman. Although I do miss my homeland greatly, and the trip here was arduous at best, I hope to learn much during my stay and make many new friends.

So after I take a bath and stash my things, where do you keep all the books with the shiny swords in it? ;)

*extends hands in an elven greeting* Welcome my brother! Indded you will enjoy your stay here I am sure I came from the High Forest and even though I have my Giant Owl mount to fly me back and forth it is well worth the trip every time. Books with shiny swords you ask? I believe you will find those in the room marked adventure

"Aye and well met Urlithani Tel'Quess!

"Name's Rondell Rivenstone from the Chionthar River, about 200 miles east of Baldur's Gate... [you see a small Rock Gnome with dark clothing over a very beautifully crafted studded leather; boots, cape, armor and even black leather whip match in color; you catch a glimpse of multicolored patches woven on the inside of the cloak - it seems reversible, but doing so would confer a circus-like attire to the gnome which he does not seem to desire at the moment; the gnome seems very fit and well-used to the trails; a faint beastly smell emanates from him - horses? oxen? mules?; hair, eyes, beard and eyebrows are of a deep shade of brown, while his skin is of dark, tanned complexion; he towers under you, a bit over 3-foot small you think].

"I usually plow a bit of trade between my fellow gnomes' communities on the Chionthar and the Winding Water, so half my time is spent on the roads crossing the Fields of the Dead really, where I am sometimes lucky enough to get a few useful things off the hands of local farmers! he he he... I go as far East as the Boareskyr Bridge or Elturel, depending on which river I border. I do a fair bit of boating in the summer, so keep me in mind if you need a guide or want to take a vacation off the trails! About once every other year, I go to Baldur's Gate to trade with my kin there; the year after I take a bit of a risk and go meet some old friends in Gullykin, then I finish my journey here in Candlekeep. I travel light for that one, leaving my cart and dogs at a friend's in Elturel; I go overland and keep well off the Wood of Sharp Teeth, using my fastest dog, Rollover Quickpaw, to make the trip.

"I must also say that some consider me a decent whistler, and in my kin's villages I am sometimes asked to assist a band. Some say I can talk to birds with my whistle but don't listen to them: the few fans that I have tend to exaggerate a little! ;) I don't believe it's something that you Fair Folk or Heavy Footed ones would pay to hear, so I have also learned to do a wee bit of fluting on the side, but that's mostly good in small, not too rowdy inns."

[Rondell leans closer to the elf, bidding him to bend down a little, and forming a little cone over his mouth with his right hand, as if to pass along a secret...]

(As I said in an earlier post, I'll not have my character Xull'rae greet you, she's not the friendly type, so my greetng will have to do. Welcome to the Keep and enjoy your stay. Alaundo, I'm sure will be happy to show you around. )
