Imagine my enormous surprise when I discovered candlekeep and its vibrant community. I see these "stars" associated with scribes. How are they awarded? Also, I'm curious to know if some of the legendary authors and game designers are polymorphed into a lesser scribe form so as not to startle us lesser mortals |

And don't be afraid to ask any other questions. As Shadowlord and Wooly Rupert have shown in their replies, this hall is a very friendly place.

Posted - 04 Apr 2004 : 06:01:21 Candlekeep is, if nothing else, a neutral ground, so no need to fear (as long as most things remain within realmspace although Alaundo will forgive the minor sidetrack now and again) The stars are meaningless really, as are the titles (senior scribe, learned scribe, etc.) We are all scribes of Candlekeep, and even the most novice of scribe may provide information that the Masters of Realmslore have not heard of. Anyways as Chief of Cleaning Staff We welcome thee to the keep! Now don't make a mess |

If you want to see some of the authors and designers that can be found within Candlekeep check out the Author's forum. There are several threads identified by the author/designer's last name.

So far as I know, most of the Realms authors/creators who do post here do so under their real names. Their threads can be found under the novels section.
Having said that, I'll further add that it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of those authors/creators has posted here under other nicks. I know that if I was to become a notable Realms author, I'd prolly use at least one back-up nick... |

Posted - 03 Apr 2004 : 20:42:35 Hail, and Welcome to Candlekeep. The "stars" merely show how much you posted. 0 stars is for a new scribe, 1 is for novice, 2 is for apprentice, 3 is for learned, 4 is for a senior scribe, and there are only two among us who have posted so much as to be called Masters of Realmslore, with 5 stars. Truly though, stars and post counts do not matter, so please do not post random things to increase your post count. Regardless, I bid you welcome... |
