Play a red wizard necromancer and then ally with the dark elf Kiaransaleean against your party in exchange for necromantic secrets.

Choose the one that suits your roleplay.

the others in our party are a psy-war and a warlock/enlightened spirit

Thats how I feel. The real ? is what other classes are in your party.

If it was my choice, I'd play a moon elf fighter/mage rather than a bladesinger, unless you want to get deeply into bladesinger lore.

I'm running the CotSQ right now with a six character party. So far they're doing pretty well. Got a Male dwarf Ftr/Clr/Hammer of Moradin, a female dwarf Clr of Moradin, a male halfling (shadow walker) rog, a female human pal/pious templar of Tyr, a male human warmage, and a male human rog/ftr/sor.

Like Darkmeer, I'd also remind you that any non-drow elf in the party is going to be a serious challenge to keep alive. I let my players know this and they wisely (IMO) chose what they chose.

There is the posibility to run the adventure as a drow adventure, but what of the other players, the story and so on? Why would a drow be engaged from Randal Morn when the problem is a drow raid into Daggerdale (one of big the story lines to enter the plot)? Give us some more to help you

As to your concepts, are you an archer/sniper type or a front line fighter type. These choices make up what I'd suggest. Personally, in order to do BOTH and be good at both, I'd go ranger. I merely remind you that CotSQ is going to eat you alive for being a non-drow elf.

As to the Drow, I dunno... I don't particularly like to play them, so I can't give you a good opinion. All I can say is if you want to play it, play it and play it well.

Go with the bladesinger. I also agree with my fellow scribes, give us some more info into your dilema.

Kinda what I was thinking. I'd need to know more about the characters then just the little info that was supplied.
