The Grand History will have new lore on Imaskar proper, but I don't recall anything new about Deep Imaskar.

I'm certainly going to look for Darkvision! As for The Grand History, it is available now as a pre-order on Amazon, which is, I think, a good deal for all involved, since it saves a lot of money for the purchaser, and also gives Wizards an idea of how large a print run to produce and whether or not a book gets extra printings or revised editions. The pdf has been of great use, so I look forward to an expanded book copy!

It's very probable that the adventuring wizardess in Lady of Decay (or Rot or whichever "Priests" book was set in the Yuirwood) hailed from Deep Imaskar. With sufficient lobbying, WotC might just give us a book with more information about her.
She is from Deep Imaskar, and she's already starred in her own novel (Darkvision). Although I have to say, that novel--although was a good story--did not particularly define her well as a character. |

Posted - 18 Jun 2007 : 18:16:32 Deep Imaskar is also mentioned in Lost Empires of Faerun, but there is not much info about the city (less than in Underdark). You can read about it in the Chapter “God Kings of the East” which details the history of Imaskar and its successor states: There is a little paragraph in “Heirs to the Empire” about the city itself, and another paragraph about the Purple Library of Deep Imaskar is found in “Keepers of the Past”. |
