Posted - 03 Mar 2007 : 19:21:32 It's a nice link but as I knew most of it already there's no need to add it.
I would query their understanding of kobolds.
Encyclopedia Mythica says kobolds: "are tricksters and not inherently evil."
and
The Encyclopedia of Arda says that in Germany: "miners are helped by friendly burrowing 'kobolds,'" |

Its funny, the reson why I was looking for it is that I just read The Dying Earth last week, and I swear it was like deja vu or something. It was eerily familiar, and I see from that list that that is where E.G.G. 'lifted' his magic system from. the book read like a series of short adventures; a must-read for all D&D fans IMHO.
I felt the same as I read Vance's stories... I seem to recall that Ed even "ripped" Archveult's name from one of them. |

Posted - 03 Mar 2007 : 13:18:38 Well, I am about four books from Three hearts and Three Lions on my reading list, but from everything I have heard and based on my impression of Anderson from The Broken Sword, it would be worth reading. |

Posted - 03 Mar 2007 : 05:59:07 I came across that before, but wasn't able to find it when I went looking for it again recently. Thank you for posting it, I was sure to book-mark it this time.
