Posted - 17 Apr 2003 : 02:49:06 Hmm... i thought there was already a subject on spellfire about peoples' opinions... but when i searched... i didn't find one entitled for spellfire itself... as a power...
I'm just starting to get curious about it... since i'm rereading Shandril's saga for a third time (since the final book is out...) and recalling a while back reading the return of the archwizards... and the shadow magic/weave...
Dunno if anyone else has asked this... but do any know how Spellfire would react to Shadow magic... being magic still in essence... would it also be absorbed? or Spellfire being raw magic... would it cause the same explosions as in the return of the archwizards? And if spellfire doesn't absorb shadow magic, does the Shadow Weave have a version of SpellFire, to where the char can absorb shadow magic, and turn into raw shadow magic... or something?
well i guess you all would understand what i'm getting at with my questions... not that i have much of a char for actual DnD play... but it's still something that's got my curiosity perked... |

Posted - 21 Apr 2003 : 22:06:09 In fact i didn't answer because i had no canon answer. But i'd dealt with such event as you. Creating a Shadow Spellfire. Not as powerful as the regular one, because the Shadow weave is quite new comparing to the regular weave. And dealing with absorbtion, i think that shadow weave or not, raw magic is 'neutral', so i'd make no differences |

Hopefully there are other knowledgeable souls here who can help. I would be very interested as to what opinions others may have on this. |
