Currently I am reading Canticle, and Im a bit confued as to where the setting is located. It is a FR book, and yet i cant seem to figure out where in Faerun the book takes place. I cant find it anywhere on the map. Help please! |

Yep. I've read the entire quintet, and generally the same stands for all of it. They're different, although Book 5(The Chaos Curse) feels tacked on. Good all-around. |

I liked it. Not as good as the best Drizzt, but still very readable. Ivan and Pikel were funny. |

I just got this book and although post site died down awhile back, maybe we can bring it back to life.
Anyone read it? If so what did you think of it.No spoilers please!

The story is set in a monastery in the Snowflake Mountains. This Mountain range forms the eastern border of Amn as well as the North Eastern border of Tethyr.
If you can find the Vilhon Reach on the map, and follow the water from the Sea of Fallen Stars to the west, it turns into a river, which passes through two lakes. At the northernmost of these lakes lies Caradoon and in the mountains lies the Edificiant Library (now Soaring Spirit)
It used to be part of a separate country, Erlkazar, on the 2nd edition maps, but with the re-ordering of the map in 3e, that is more or less lost. Most information aside from the Quintet can be found in the Lands of Intrigue boxed set, which is also available as an electronic download on the WotC site. |

IIRC, it takes place in or around the Snowflake Mountains, but I tried unsuccessfully to find it anywhere on a map, and it wasn't in the index of FRCS. Hmmm... |
