Is there a webpage that has a listing of FR Events and such, kind of like this Interview with Dave Gross, that I missed, I would have loved to attend it.

I guess that If I looked I could probably find it, but thats why I'm a fat old rich merchant, to pay for other people to do my work for me!

*Offers 100 gold for someone to do my weeks worth of library work.*

Teacher? Not yet, still studying. I'm just a tutor for now.
zemd Posted - 24 Mar 2003 : 16:38:47
Alright, so we'll begin by... damn i on't even know where to begin! It'll hard and slow i bet. See you on msn ... teacher ...
Bookwyrm Posted - 24 Mar 2003 : 07:13:25
I assume you're talking about my offer to help with writing. And yes, I do mean it, and no, I don't speak or read French. I've tried, but I can't learn a language very well, except by actually living there and picking it up. (Though I lived for three years in Italy, and could barely order dinner at the end, so I'm not very good at that either!)

(Stupido Americano, perche non parle Italiano per tre anni!)
zemd Posted - 23 Mar 2003 : 21:27:23
You'd do that for me?
The hard will be to translate it in english, cause i suppose you don't read French AT ALL?!
Bookwyrm Posted - 23 Mar 2003 : 19:38:00
Well, there was the time Elph and I were fighting . . . or rather, she was fighting me, and not doing a good job. Magic is fun. Of course, she did break that window -- but I repaired it, see?
zemd Posted - 22 Mar 2003 : 13:02:17
Since i'm here we never fought, and i hope we won't!
(Did someone dare to fight within this walls Alaundo, if yes i can't even imagine what was there punishement! )
Bookwyrm Posted - 22 Mar 2003 : 05:44:39
Or dragons.
Rekindin Posted - 22 Mar 2003 : 04:00:15
No,.....no fighting going on here.Back in the drow city we would have slit a surface humans throat for talking to a drow like that(even if i was just a male), but after i heard of the renegade Drizzts departure i decided to walk in his path, and try not to find fighting, but to use your mind to get you out of fighting.Besides i was probably overmatched, never had good luck fightin wizards......

Yes we all must be friends in this great place, and so I say i am truthfully sorry.(Please Alaundo don't make me clean the stale ale)
Bookwyrm Posted - 21 Mar 2003 : 15:29:35
Rekindin, I had not realized I'd "been on your back." I admit that my last post on this thread was a bit sharp, but I was having computer problems (I won't go into detail grr) so I didn't check over it like I usually try to do.

And yes, I am a wizard, but I'm not very good at charms. You'll have to blame someone else.

Zemd: Click on the address I gave Mirt up at the top of this page. That'll take you to the main page of what you were trying to get to.

Most authors want to hear that stuff. Certainly, it can sound like the same thing over and over again, but it's different than it is for a movie star or such public figure. After all, it doesn't take much to listen to a song or watch a movie. But it takes brains to read a good sized book and like it. So when an author hears this sort of praise, (s)he knows it's from someone who isn't just saying that because (s)he's some Famous Person With Good Looks (Who Didn't Actually Write It).

Mirt- That kinda "crap" I could hear all day long!

I'm glad you enjoyed Spectre and hope you like my Sembia work. Come join us on Friday, April 11th at 5pm PST if you can for the Sembia chat!
The_Mirt Posted - 19 Mar 2003 : 20:38:24
Thanks Voronica, you probably get this kind of crap all the time, but I loved Spectre of the Black Rose... I have not read your Sembia Novels yet, but I will!

The only problem I find with such announcements and also ANY novel announcements and additional features, is that WotC never put the information on the FR Home Page, only on the books page, which I often forget to go to.....until its too late Novels are just as important as gaming material, maybe give someone a nudge at WotC to get novel announcements added to the main FR page.
Voronica Whitney-Robinson Posted - 19 Mar 2003 : 03:29:56
Mirt-

I've noticed that WotC Posts these events on the upper right-hand corner on the Books homepage. I don't know how far in advance they post these online chats.

I do know we are organizing a Sembia Wrap Party online for Friday, April 11th at 5pm PST. Myself, Dave Gross, Paul Kemp, and Ed Greenwood(I think!) will be there for sure. I'm not sure if Lisa and Richard have confirmed yet.

As we get closer, I'm sure Dave or I will post a confirmation of this on Candlekeep in the Novels Forum!
The_Mirt Posted - 19 Mar 2003 : 00:39:15
I dont really need a Novel guide... I have them all... I have almost every D&D novel ever made, (Missing a Few Dragonlance, and I do not collect those stupid endless quest things), I have all Greyhawk, Ravenloft, Mystara, Dark Sun, Birthright, and general D&D novels (excluding the new WOTC ones).
I was looking for something that has up to date information on stuff like these online meeting with authors.

Sorry for the Misguiding.

I remember that in the Wotc website there's a novel reading guide, made as a map, it's quite clear.
I don't remember exactly here it's located
