I recently got the Complete Psionic book. I've looked through it a bit, and a few things leapt out at me. First, the ardent mind SUCKS. Its a wishy-washy class just there for people who want to pick special abilities. Then there's the lurk, which at least has a basis for what the class is, and at first glance seems viable. Then there was the divine mind. At first glance, I figured, why? It just doesn't fit into the FR feel that FR gods would have this kind of servant. Then I started thinking about it more. It doesn't make sense for the gods that they list for use with the divine mind from FR (except maybe Oghmanites, whom I could see getting into the power of the mind). However, it would make perfect sense for followers of say Deep Duerra, the mind flayer gods (Ilsensine?), the other duergar deity (Laduguer), the god of the thri-kreen, Sseth. Any others?

Don't forget Ed Bonny's extensive notes on Auppenser that he's made available here at Candlekeep. Simply download the compiled replies files from Kuje's website (in his sig) and perform a search for Auppenser.

Hmmm, yes, I could see dark elves developing divine minds as well. Being around so many psionic cultures (illithids, duergar, aboleths, etc..) would lead to a tendency of research. For that matter, I could see some svirfneblin developing it as well (though which gnome deities would encourage divine minds comes into question, and I'm not familiar enough with that pantheon).
Of other races, I just don't see dwarves seeking this path (it might verge on heresy), and those that would would probably be pure psions or psychic warriors. Some elves might, and if they did I'd think it'd be more that tri-partite deity (Angaraddh?). I don't really see it developing with the halfling, goblinoid, and orc pantheons.
Of the human pantheon, I'd say Oghma. Someone else mentioned Savras.. decent enough... and I'd even buy into Deneir. I had forgotten about the psionic god in Lost Empires. I need to look at that.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas. At first, I didn't think this would fit into the realms, but maybe there's a few spots.
Of course, don't get me wrong, I can see some churches that include some psionicists as worshippers, and they might even include them as an arm of the church. But to take individuals who are so ability inclined to become priests and encourage them to become divine minds instead doesn't seem to fit most realmsian churches.

Hm . . . come to think of it, Grummsh has statistics for mantles and divine minds . . . I may have to cogitate upon this, as it plants the germ of an idea within my fevered brain . . .

I would guess that House Oblodra, before its unfortunate demise, would have been a good example of a house that might have had a few Divine Minds of Lolth. I would guess that a few other drow cities that deal with Mind Flayers might have merged what they learned from the illithids with their own devotion to Lolth, and Lolth is one of the deities listed in Complete Psionic as having divine mind followers. Or at least they detail what mantles a divine mind of Lolth would have.

How are the priestess of lolth able to conduct psychic combat during inter-house warfare?
I haven't seen anywhere that shows this besides the novels I don't see how it benefits a house to have a circle of clerics attack the other house if there are no rules for it .I got around this (house Millithor) because I actually have a male psionist(12thlevel) to help us frame our attack!

I can see Divine Minds fitting into FR. Plenty of gods go for the 'self power/power of your mind' idea.

Such as: Deneir, Finder Wyvernspur, Oghma, Savras, Annam, Ilsensine, Memnor, Deep Duerra, Laduguer, and Labelas Enoreth.

Though I can see realy any god have a small group of divine mind servants.

And you'll likely find them all compiled in Kuje's files for easy reference.

In fact, Ed Bonny has a few notes on the Complete Psionic classes and PrC and how they would relate to Jhaamdath in his thread as well.

And Ed Bonny said as much in his scroll, just the other day. :)
