Posted - 12 Apr 2006 : 23:42:03 Welcome, welcome to the grand opening of Shaundakul Travel Agency. To commemerate our ribbon cutting ceremony we are giving all who come a free one week vacation to the city of their choice. We will magically transport you there so you will not be seeing any travel to the city of your choice purely just the city. The only catch is that once a city has been chosen once it may not be chosen again for another customer. If you so decide you want your one week vacation (all expenses paid and also a simple shape shift so do not be worried about races)please post the name of the city you would like to travel to and a simple sentence or so on why you would like to travel there!
I saw this posted on Candlekeep's gate so I thought I'd let the rest of you guys know about it! Anyhow I'm here for my free one week vacation and i pick Waterdeep the City of Splendors. As for why I would like to travel there, there are many reasons but I believe the pet name to the city clearly expains it, for it is THE City of Splendors! -Atlas |

Posted - 27 Nov 2006 : 08:42:17 I'd like to put my gold on the first caravan seat to...
MITHRIL HALL.
I want to se the huge statue faces carved into the walls and walk through and see the items on display that the old kings held. Also, i'd like to spit in the pit and see if I can hit a certain shadow dragon.

Then second choice:
Dwarven Barrel Rafting down the Unicorn Run.
For those un-familiar with the grand sport of Dwarven Barrel Rafting it goes like this:
One insane dwarf. One Hogs Head Beer barrel (That's the Big one) Seal dwarf in barrel Throw of a waterfall Stand back and watch!!!
Being the dwarf is a life altering experience.

Sweet! Can I come? But I don't want to be the dwarf. |

Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 12:57:41 I think I'll pick - SHADOWDALE (I can't belive no-one else chose it - there's no-where better!) |
ShadowJack |
Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 12:52:13 I would have to say the upper part of the Unicorn Run. I would like to see some of the fabled inhabitants and the beauty of the place. The descriptions in the books always intrigue me! Of course I would want a group of Silver Knights and Rangers from Silverymoon as bodyguards and tour guides! If that is not possible I will go to Immersea and stay a few days with Giogi and Cat... |

Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 05:28:31 The place least likely to get me hurt, scared or even killed. Safety first, always. Luiren (with the old 2ed. halflings) sounds about right, or Silverymoon. If I had the right protection I could always visit the court of Cormyr or travel trough the country to Arabel to twirl my mustache and blink my eye at Myrmeen. |

Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 02:37:46 Hmm Im in need of some peace and quiet, so Elventree for me, located on the moonsea, northern edge of cormantor. Sounds nice |
The Hooded One |
Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 01:49:07 Eveningstar: Tessaril Winter's bed, during a tenday when Azoun's visiting (remember, we Knights are adventuring some years behind the current timeline). Hopefully I could really get my fill. Er, so to speak. Yes, I know Alustriel provides the same floating party, but I've DONE that one. Ahem. To reply seriously: a tenday spent with Elminster, wherever he goes - - and if I'm to be stuck in one place, a tenday in Waterdeep, spent with Mirt and Asper, a-intriguing. love to all, THO |

Posted - 24 Nov 2006 : 01:23:09 No travelin, shards but that's half the fun. Well since I ain't a fan o' sailin and it's a long trip through the Underdark, I'll be takin a ticket to Caer Callidyrr. |

Posted - 23 Nov 2006 : 23:14:05 All us intelligent folk love that game. It was purely...Uh, what's the word? Forgotten Realms! That's it! Purely Forgotten Realms! (Now, are you sure we only get to choose one place? That's heartbreaking...) |
Walking in the Light |
Posted - 27 Apr 2006 : 22:56:31 I agree with shike Baldur's Gate would be my first vacation spot to go Plenty of great fun there! Yaaa I know could I be anymore of fan of the PC game |
Wandering_mage |
Posted - 25 Apr 2006 : 04:19:30 Eveningstar. Hands down. That place is so intriguingly in the middle of so much. Plus it seems out of the way so I could complete most of my spell research..... I mean it would be scenic and stuff. |

Posted - 25 Apr 2006 : 03:22:59 I see no one's mentioned Cormyr; perhaps some fishing in the Wyvernwater and then a nice stay in Suzail. Avoiding, if at all possible, any massive amounts of violence.

Posted - 24 Apr 2006 : 09:03:10 I'll take Rashmen, the beauty and spirits of the place always take my breath away in whatever I read :) |

Cimbar, the greatest city of vibrant Chessenta. |
shike |
Posted - 20 Apr 2006 : 17:04:48 Well, since we have to choose a location not chosen by others I'll have to go with baldur's gate, I'd prefer Silverymoon, but it isn't an option anymore. :) |

Gothenburg... hey, wait, that's the capital of Greenland! Aye, now I understand you, Kajehase - must be tough wrestling with those polar bears and living in igloos
My igloo has got central heating, so I'm okay. And the polar-bear skin fetches a bundle at the fur-shops. Oh, and how many olympic ice-hockey gold-medals does Finland have?
*Hehe* You just had to rub that in, didn't you Hey, we have plenty of bronze and silver medals! Probably more than you guys have |

Posted - 17 Apr 2006 : 07:58:03 With the shapeshift option included, I'd choose Menzoberranzan. Yeah, I know most of you probably had enough of it and would think me boring, but I still can't imagine any place could be more interesting - and more entertaining - for me.
And, if Ched Nasad still existed, I'd gladly pop in there as well for a short weekend break :) |

Posted - 15 Apr 2006 : 03:49:42 Hello-
Ah, 'Tis an easy answer - especially with that Shape Shift thrown in!
Myth Drannor.
Simply put - I think that this city is just 'begging' to have Loads of help arrive to restore it to its former glory. Of course - this is likely not possible - but one can Dream, can't one?
