Posted - 02 Jan 2006 : 23:01:44 Greetings
Has anyone other then me noticed this every map on the web sight that shell not be named is printable at a usable resolution with the exception of the ones for waterdeep. Between the lack of fold out maps and indexes in products and the low resolution maps, I am beginning to think the unspeakable wizards of yon coast are in league with thay and or the twisted rune. |

Posted - 02 Jan 2006 : 23:35:08 "The boards that shall not be named" is used to refer to the WotC forums. It's certainly not an official designation; it's used mainly by those who have some personal beef against the forums. Many of our scribes here have come from those forums, and many are still active there. It's all a matter of personal preference, really. There is certainly nothing wrong with naming them or referring to them. Heck, I was wrongfully banned from there, and I usually call them the WotC forums, rather than "the forums that shall not be named."
As for maps, I've never tried printing them out. Between the print version of the Forgotten Realms Atlas and the many maps I have from 2E products (including 2 complete sets of the huge Waterdeep map from City System -- 10 posters!), I've never had a need to print maps.
Since the maps are image files, though, you should be able to resize them with any decent image software. Irfanview is a popular bit of freeware I've used for altering the size of images. |

Posted - 02 Jan 2006 : 23:08:15 Err I think that was the "boards that shall not be named" the WotC forum, not WotC website content pages of which I have never seen any special descriptor used here. Wooly might be able to explain further.
As for printible images I can not reply, because I have not downloaded any image to print in a year or so. In general however if you can see it you can print it, just some take more work arrounds then others. |
