I suspect Wizards may have found that they dont have the staff they need to make all the modules and source books they want now that there back in the adventuring producing game

I think that would be an excellent Christmans gift to me. :)

I think working freelance for WOTC would be better than full time. I would always be worried about job security. At least in insurance I know people are always going to be crashing into things....

Besides, I need to make sure I have that steady flow of income for the gaming books and dice.

And I'd watch out... she's got a mean left hand for arm wrestling.

Seriously though, I think I am going to call WotC today and find out what they are looking for in their adventure and how much they want for the Spelljammer rights.

We can arm wrestle for it then.

What, all the Spelljammer products? I've already got them all.

And Spelljammer did get a lot of support during it's all-too-brief life, so it must have been popular for a while. Off the top of my head, I can think of 2 Monstrous Compendium appendices, at least 6 modules, 7 or 8 sourcebooks, 4 boxed sets, 6 novels, articles in Dragon and Polyhedron...

How much are the rights, really, though? Spelljammer was never that popular - I'm thinking they couldn't go for more than $100K a year. Planescape, DL, and Ravenloft were all way more popular - hence their price.

Who knows but I recall that Planescape was into triple or quadruple digits. :) Let's just say that WOTC wants a lot. Also it would be a problem because of Hackmaster because Kenzer Company has an agreement with WOTC that that they can make material based on some of the 1e and 2e campaign settings and material.

Oh darn. Well, when I win the lottery I will look into it. Of course, we could always take our house money and invest it in SJ but then again, I think Crennen would rather have a house than a campaign setting.

Shoot. :(

From what I've heard when someone wanted to purchase Planescape, it's a lot and it's more then most people, or companies, are willing to pay. WOTC learned how much it's worth after doing it with dlance and ravenloft. :)

Well, the only weird thing is my wife and I have never used Greyhawk, and I think that's what they are looking for. But seriously, thanks for your well-wishes... if you ever see us on a book cover, look for the dedications - it will be to all of you here!
