It stops it in mine, but the music's all he's caring about anyway.

It did stop the music but the words continued scrolling.

Just press Esc or click the "stop" button on your browser. That'll stop the music, as well as the scrolling words in the upper left corner.

I rarely go to the main page because I can't take the music. I usually have my TV going on the computer at the same time and I can't turn the music off without also turning off the sound of my TV card.
