Do you think some elf somewhere felt at least a little bit bad that their ancestors destroyed a bunch 'o cities and lives in making Evermeet? You would think this would be something to feel guilt over but it wasn't mentioned in the novel really....

Kind of selfish of those elves if you ask me.

Why, thank you very much! *nods her head*

I also must show Lady Kianna the proper respect for such a good post that has inspired me to think of these lofty issues... (bows once again)

I know you weren't bashing all elves, ShadowJack.
ShadowJack Posted - 08 Oct 2005 : 00:16:29
I fear I must at this time reiterate my stand, I do not support Elf-bashing! I like elves; Silver, Gold, Copper and Wild! All flavors! Moon, Sun, Wood and others! Elves of Evermeet, Shilmista, Tethir, Mir, High Forest, Elven Court, Synnoria and everywhere else! Are we to assume that ALL Elves are so insular that they do not consider their neighbors around them? I believe that the events in Evereska of late, the High Forest (Demon-Fey)and the help they received in Cormanthyr/Dalelands may be proving to the elves that they can live with humans and others in close proximity... That working together the dream of Myth Drannor can be reborn and flourish againist ALL who try to drive the races apart!!! (I think I am getting a little to caught up with all of this...)

I concur. STUPID ELVES!

Down with the Elves!

:)

I agree with this train of thought. People the world over are stuck with bad rulers, but is that their fault?

I'm elf-bashing and proud of it. You can't just go around destroying other people's things....such as their LIVES.....because you decide you need a place to live. I hope that tree doesn't wreak havok once it gets planted.

Stupid elves. :)

You would think that High Magic being as powerful as it is, could have been more selective... I am not here to Elf-Bash, I admire all the elves of the Realms. Just a thought.

Hey!! Watch the elf hating around here... now you have all my hackles up. Don't blame the Sun Elves, or the Moon Elves, or for that matter, any elf - Stupid Corellon and his consort, the big A, decided that was best for Faerun.

I blame all elves for Evermeet. They are such whiners when it comes to this. "We want a place for ourselves...blah blah blah". *sigh*

I like all the elf races and like to think that all- from the most evil drow to the most selfish gold elf- can be redeemable. I feel they all have their place in the realms...but let's face it, in this the elves went a bit too far.

We'll just blame the Sun Elves, they are the Source of ALL that is Evil with Elvenkind.
