Westgate - When was this infamous city founded?.. Earliest date I show is c.-350 with the death of the Topaz dragon by Mr Seven Spells.. The fact that a dragon was ruling there implies that the city has been around for a good long while previously.. Yet I can find no other mention, anybody have any ideas? Or even a non-canon history (that makes sense) they've made up for it?

Turami - The beaten, abused, dispossesed pregenitors of Chessenta.. Any culture or monuments of significance left in the Chessenta area?.. Tidbits I gather is they were dirt worshippers without a true pantheon.. Were they just a band of indigenous barbarians wallowing in squalid aboriginal splendor? Or were they an advanced race of noble philosopher-kings living in harmony with nature??... Anybody know of other history on the Turami? (other than being driven off to the Vilhon)..

Curious and curiouser... A rather large culture, spread across a wide area, advanced enough to build cities, still somewhat alive in the form of Turmish, and not a whole heck of alot of detail on them... Well time to sharpen up the pencil (or dust off the keyboard in this case), pull out the timeline, and start making up some history for my game... Thanks for the help!!

The Menesankh, or Plains of Life, are a fertile area stretching in a crescent around the southern tip of the Alamber sea and as far north as to Skuld on the Mulhorandi side. It extends all the way to Red Have on the Untheric side. The Menesankh is a dry area of flat plains, irrigated by rivers, and occasional marshland.

* The Greenfields are not the same area as The Green Fields. It is one of the 2ed maps. (I think it's one of those Dragon ones)But nowdays it would be known as the Green Lands. The Greenfiels where specifically along the Angol river. (or at least the name runs along it on the map)

I'm going to guess FR10 made a typo and meant the "Green Lands", since the Greenfields near Tethyr seems a bit far afield for the Turami.. Green Lands right in Unther makes sense... But I couldn't find anything on Menesankh.. Where/Who/What is that?.. Found a Meresankh, but he's an Egyptian pharoah - not sure how or why they would farm him...

Hmm, well you have a snippet in FR10 Old telling "The Turami peoples that first inhabited the Greenfields had been farmers and had farmed the Menesankh lands for thousands of years before the Mulhan emigrated westward from Raurin." Also Races of Faerūn contains a few lines on them as well. Don't know if it is the same as found in FRCS though since I haven't compared it.

And found a bit on the Turami.. FRCS has a small blurb in the Unther section that says there is a ruined Turami city in Methwood.. So more towards the philosopher-king side of the scale.. If anybody else stumbles across something, please don't hesitate to post or shoot me a PM..

Since there's really nothing specific about the period, I'd say you're free to work out a few details on your own -- whether you keep with what is traditionally known about Westgate and its early years is up to you.

What do you think would be a good amount of time for it?? 100 years? 200 years? Push it back to about -550 DR which places it in the time of Netheril?
Considering the reign of a "dragon-king", I would think that a couple of hundred years would be a fair assumption for the habitation of the Westgate area.

If you do go ahead with this, make sure you post it here. I'd like to see what you come up with .

Oh yes, invaluable piece of research that timeline is!!... Had already checked thru that rather thouroughly before asking about Westgate... Couldn't find anything in there, or in the Westgate timeline itself, hence my question... So would you agree that it's pretty safe to say Westgate's founding has not been set yet??... The web enhancement for Cloak & Dagger had a Westgate timeline, and a list of Westhavian dynasties. You can find those lists here.

Inside, it lists -349 DR... which seems to be the first mention of anything related to Westgate and Kisonraathiisar -- the dragon ruler of Westgate.

Looking further back, there isn't really a lot of specific lore on the period before that time for the Westgate area, so you're pretty much free to do some work on your own. Maybe you could pester Eric for a few ideas .

Thanks Wooly! That's the place where I found the timeline as far back as c.-350 DR.. Nothing that I've found seems to go any farther back than that though... Any other ideas?
