How is Fzoul pronounced? My wife and I are trying to figure it out so that we can call our do the right name... (Yes, our one dog is the chosen of Bane and the other dog is Szass Tam [they're both Pomeranians]) Thanks!

Just to let everyone know, Fzoul and Szass are now playing together and quite happy eating everything in the world. Thanks again for the help with the pronounciation!

Well met

Indeed it would, my dear Lina. In fact, Richard Baker's tomes of The Last Mythal trilogy do have pronouciations, due to the obviously heavy elven coverage, which I find very useful indeed. Some past FR sourcebooks also have the odd pronouciations listed.

One thing I do recall for some time ago, for the Birthright campaign, I might add, were the availability of sound (WAVE) files giving pronouciations of lands etc. Hmmmm, another project for Candlekeep perhaps?

Thanks! Well, we just picked up Fzoul from the breeder. He is now adjusting to life here with us. :) I will post pictures of the Chosen of Bane and the Archlich of Thay soon!

Fuh-zool is how I pronounce it.

Given as Fzz-OOL CHEMM-bril in the 1987 Campaign Set, Fzool CHEM-bril in the 1993 Campaign Setting box.

I have always spelled it as "Zul", here in Spain we use to avoid any tongue-working disorder.
