races of stone states that vergadain was one of moradains 8 children...demihuman deities states that before he was part of the mordinsamman he was the mulhorandi hod bes, the short father...which is true?

You're not missing much.

through re-study and contemplation i believe i have discovered my flaw...demihuman dieties does not specifically state that he was bes before he was vergadain...so it is my oppinion that he is one of the 8 children, and soon after, as he is the trickster, decided to become bes for the mulhorandi...and since his cult sank he has just become vergadain full-time. (i am shamed to say i have not read the 3e faiths and pantheons, which would probobly give me more information)

If there is a conflict, 95% of the time the newer source is used over the older source.

Well met

Worry not, iamunknown. There are a vast amount of books of lore, it is easy to mistake one for the other, especially on a subject such as this. I'm sure more scribes will be along soon to aid thee.

Races of Stone is not Realmslore, also Races of Stone and the other books in the Races series contradict alot of the old lore regarding the demihuman gods.

If you notice, there are several new gods, that have never been heard of before featured in those books, and several gods that have been around for years are gone.
