Actually, it was Netherese refugees that settled there. We don't know if any of the Netherese enclaves were that far south when Karsus cast his Ultimate Mistake spell.
I don't think any enclaves hid themselves there, but yes, a arhcwizard led fellow mages, apprentices and servants to a land later called Halruaa which the archwizard think he can defend against the phaerimm easily. But the phaerimm seemed not interested in pursuing them anyway. |

Maybe this is because I have a headache but I don`t really understand this. If the Shadovar caused a rebellion in Halruaa then why did the Halruaans ally with them?

Shadow magic seemed very attractive to some of the Halruaans. |

About Shandover's flying ships. I don't know what Spelljamming is (although I've come across it frequently). But yeah, in Magic of Faerun, it goes over the flying ships a little bit. They're sailing ships with Halruaan Sea Turtle shells plastered to the bottom. These shells have the levitation spell cast on them (or rather, a friggin lot of levitation spells  ) and allow the ships to hover above the ground. The sails are what control the ships movement, and allow it to turn with clumsy maneuverability. Anyway, get this cost: 700,000 gp. Maaaan, that goes on my level 20 wishlist ... |

There were also three cities, that were spared by the will of Mystra, and they became the 'survivor states' of Anauria, Hlondath and Asram. Also, Opus was transferred to Selune's realm. |

Check out the tome Shining South. It covers Halruaa. Elaine Cunningham's Kings & Counselors trilogy is set almost entirely in Halruaa, too. |

Halruaans are from the Southern land of Halruaa, this land was said to be controlled by powerful wizards, and wizardry there is incorporated and standardized into common use. It is where castles float on the breeze, water runs uphill to where it is useful, and almost like Netheril early days when all citizens know basic magic tricks. Heard that they even had some great flying ships, not spelljammers I think.
