Well Met fellow travelers,

I was just curious if anybody had found use in my recent submissions (they can be found in the Traveler's Notebooks section)? One contains various nautical & pirate terminology and phrases, and the other contains stats for various ships and other waterborne apparatus.

When I created those documents I was beginning a small swashbuckling campaign in which one of the PCs was going to work towards the dread pirate prestige class. So, almost from the very first session there was the chance for naval combat (which can be extremely entertaining if handled well and not allowed to get too technical)...So I researched about various ships, even reading about how they were built, etc. Meanwhile I collected quite a number of terms and thought it would be best to have a list of vocabulary to refer to...At any rate, it was quite interesting and I think that kind of research is very helpful in preparing for a campaign. Not to mention that it really adds to a campaign if the DM can insert dialogue that seems not only appropriate, but also really ties into (and enhances) the flavor of the campaign.

I hope you have a swashbucklingly good time ;), if you have any feedback/comments about my submissions, by all means let me know please...

Argh mateys,

Lokahn Mandrake

What can I say... It's just not that easy being The Sage . Of course, I could just blame Wooly, but that'd be too easy now wouldn't it .

I must've missed this.

These look particularly useful, and exceptionally well thought out. I don't have any specific use for them at the moment, but I'm making a reference for them in my bookmarks should the need arise.

Good stuff .

Well met

Hmmmm, not been keeping an eye on the Site Updates, Sage?! A man of thy position too! ::sigh::

Thank you. I haven't looked at it yet, but I strongly suspect that this will be rather handy in the future. I'll try to stop back in when I've read it through.

Nice work. The characters in my current campaign is a gang of landlubbers, but it may change sometime in the future. Thank you.

it´s one of the most helpful things i´ve seen in a long time!

i´ll use it in an upcoming spelljammer campaign as well as giving it to a fellow dm who is going to start a campaign on the monshae islands. for both of us your work is vital.

thanks!
