Posted - 08 Jan 2003 : 23:09:52 Carrying the blood of a celestial, an Aasimar is usually good-aligned and fights against evil in the world. Some have a minor physical trait suggesting their heritage, such as silver hair, golden eyes, or an unnaturally intense stare. Those descendedfrom a celestial minion of a Faerunian deity often carry a birthmark in the shape of the deity's holy symbol or some other mark significant to that faith. Aasimar's description in FRCS if that helps at all. |

Posted - 08 Jan 2003 : 03:25:27 Aasimar are typically travelers from other planes or the result (off-spring) of someone's extra-planar escapades. I treat them like 1/8-1/4 celestials, which for the most part is probably what they are.
Their role is no different from anyone else's but they may expect more of themselves based on their heritage. Which is why they seem to gravitate toward faith-based professions like paladin.
They usually mix as freely as half-elves. Some more nefarious types will see them coming "from a mile away" and either avoid them or make them the butt of jokes or con games for sport. Even when they aren't dressed like paladins, they have that certain "goodness" quality that they permeate.
