Posted - 12 Mar 2005 : 06:23:41 Well met evetyone, I was hoping you could assist me in this matter. The thing is, our DM is running a module where Marco set's us up, though to him we are complete strangers. Then we get arrested and are getting asked questions about a rogue, swindler and a thief Marco Volo. That surprised me, quite a lot, cause though I didn't know about the character much, I'm pretty sure I've heard of him before as of a bard, famous all over Faerun. So I decided to specify which year exactly we were in, the DM's answer was - 1375. So, please advise if the adventure actually could take place un 1375 Faerun and if I am mistaken about Volo (I'm not counfusing him with Volothamp, the author of many guides). |

Posted - 12 Mar 2005 : 17:21:06 Kuje is correct. Marcus Wands was basically trying to smear an already tainted name... Volo (real name: Volothamp Geddarm) is more than capable of getting himself into trouble -- he didn't need this imposter to help out. |

Posted - 12 Mar 2005 : 06:34:47 Marco Volo is actually Marcus Wands of the Wands family of Waterdeep. He took that name to get Volo of the Volo Guides in trouble.
And well since those are 2e modules they are probably set earlier then 1375 but the DM could have changed it. |
