Posted - 13 Jan 2005 : 17:12:50 Are the Sarrukh in the Serpent Kingdoms books underpowered or their CR overestimated? They are a CR 21 creature, but actually seem considerably weaker than the last two encounters my party had. A green dragon dracolich and a nightwalker, both CR 16's and both seem considerably more formidable then the Sarrukh. |

There has been much debate on this over at the WotC boards. Sarrukh are powerful and dangerous mainly to their creations, because they can warp and mutate them at will. Against others they aren't quite so dangerous. Also, Sarrukh will be surrounded by tons of minions, you won't fight one by itself. |

Posted - 13 Jan 2005 : 17:35:27 If your party is a lizard race I would think it would be an epic type encounter. Sarrukh are significantly lower in CR, but I can't remember where I read it. |
