I need to know a brief layout of the nobility of Hell
Lords of the Nine are the highest.....
Archdevils are nxt i think ( but i think the 9 lords are archdevils except Asmodeus )
Dukes of Hell are nxt in line i think........ |

The 9 levels of Hell contain devils last time I checked, demons hang out in the Abyss (or whatever other name currently used).
In looking at Hell.
The command structure used to be as follows.
Arch-devil (Dukes of Hell) which rule one or more levels if Hell. The most powerful Duke is Overlord of all Hell and does have some command over the Other Dukes.
After that becomes greater Devils and lessor Devils.
Or at least that is how Ist Edtion laid it out. |

The best location for this info is the Nine Hells articles in Dragon Magazine written by that most incredible of authors, Ed Greenwood. If you have access to the Dragon Magazine Archive, they can be found there. Offhand, I don't remember the issues they are in, somwhere around 82, I think. |
