Sean K. Reynolds' site has a new blade of Faerun up. Behold Glory of Gold, a Waukeen dagger.

Sean great work on The Blades.I really enjoy reading the lore surrounding weapons and such.So it is very refreshing for me to see this.Also thanks SB for the link.I never knew that it existed,or I did,and never checked it out.

You're welcome and I'm glad the link proved to be helpful. I know I've enjoyed reading the various blades more than many weapons I've encountered in products I purchased.

As have I. These blades have character.

I had originally planned to do weapons for the 30 deities that have full writeups in the FRCS. According to my records, I still have two left from that list (Umberlee and Uthgar).

After that, I don't know, I'll have to see what my schedule is like. I've been doing the Blades off and on for something like 4 years now, I think I might want a change of pace. :)

{It would be nice, however, if a couple of them also had the property "Skillful" as found in the Complete Arcane.}

These are pretty nice, there is some creative thought in them and the stories are pretty well rounded, and suitably vague so that a DM could insert them into their game. It would be nice, however, if a couple of them also had the property "Skillful" as found in the Complete Arcane. That would nicely round out the sword for Azuth and some of the dieties for whom Wizards and Sorcerers are the prime congregation.

I also wonder if there is a corresponding site that has some diety/religeon specific non-weapon items?

I'm not sure about a site, but I believe the new issue of Dragon is supposed to have deity specific magic items or artifacts.

A new blade is up. Take a look at Balance Point (Silvanus).

These blades are nice, but how often do characters get a chance to wield something like these in your games? Too many weapons out there, even with minor magic weapons, are often viewed as + so-and-so weapons and not given enough lore or personality. I think that is why it is so interesting reading about these blades.

Good point. Blades with so many +++++ should have a good history. As for using these blades, I'd put them more at the center of something the PCs have to obtain for a certain church/other agency rather than something they will wield personally.

Yeah, that one and Inspired to War both slid by me, and I only discovered them when someone else linked to the site (I think it was over on Worlds).
