Posted - 07 Nov 2004 : 21:28:18 Hi
I'm looking for pictures of male Elven mages for a sig pic but so far I couldn't find any suitable one. I've already googled and tried a few fantasy picture sites.
Does anyone of you know where to get such pictures? I got none of the FR or D&D P&P products so I can't get pictures from them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Posted - 13 Nov 2004 : 02:59:42 Thanks for the pics ddh, I'll take a look at them . :)
I also like the art of jennifer dolfen very much, especially her A Song of Ice and Fire pictures (amazing books, by the way). I even tried using her Corellon Larethian+Eilistraee pic, may be of use sometime later. :) |

No, you're not the only one. However, DDH was very kind in offering the links to help out. Moreover, at least they are better than the Trainspotting looking elves from an early 3e product.
And Jenny Dolfen is great. I love her Martin artwork although her child's recent birth might slow down her work. |

personally, i find the elves of jennifer dolfen more to my liking (although they are sometimes a bit mangalike, which i generally don“t like too much) : http://www.epilogue.net/cgi/database/art/list.pl?gallery=5458 |

Posted - 08 Nov 2004 : 23:13:29 Probably the best magic-user pic that WotC has is the picture of teh Spell-singer from Races of Faerun. That guy is really cool, holding a sword in one hand and lighting crackling from the other. |

Posted - 08 Nov 2004 : 20:06:21 @ddh_101: I know about the art gallery at WotC but I couldn`t find any suitable ones there either. I found pics of female elven mages (like that Mialee up there) or this one http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/rof_gallery/49751.jpg or pics of male human mages. I need a few pics (to choose the right one) of male elven mages/wizards/summoners/etc. though. I also tried elfwood and wanted to try epilogue.net, but they are lacking a search function and it would take weeks to look for one pic by browsing all artists' pages there.
I even tried using the pic of Hadruhne (the one I'm using as an avatar here too) and making it less "evil/dark" but that didn't work. |
