No, I do not speak of sneak attacks, but something that takes guts. I have devised Drow insults in their dark tongue. Sexual Innuendo hurts, but it's not nice, drow or not. I hope you benifit from this wisdom as I have, and may your Drow hunts be as successful as mine have. Before we start, let's get you started with the language of the Drow. If you can't speak drow, odds are you won't anger them enough or at all. [url="http://www.mindspring.com/~sylverion/nwn/dictc_d.htm#f"][i] *the following pages are translations of Drow to Common. You wonder if he's Dwarven and not just a Drow who had his shins and forearms chopped off and had his skin painted.* [/i][/url] Chapter 1: Insulting the House Drow Society is split up into several houses: Insult the house, you'll insult the matron, insult the matron, and you'll have warriors on your doorstep! Some drow are so loyal to their house that an insult to the house is like insulting their blood-mother. The trick is knowing what house your opponent has come from. [url="http://www.candlekeep.com/downloads/drow-glyph.gif"][i] *You see images of House Sigils... the only problen is the Jaelre Sigil is missing... very odd considering that Jaelre is the same house that Morok has been dealing with...and is the only house in the Heartlands!* [/i][/url] Since there is always civil war amongst the dark elves, it is easy to insult the drow with the sigils. For instance, if Jaelre is in a kind of holy war with Everhate, you can paint the Everhate Sigil on your armor. Be warned that Patriots will really want to take you down for such a thing. Two other ways are to paint the sigil upside down on your armor or paint it on the armor with a large "X" over it. If you're dealing with House Everhate, I reccomend turning the sigil upside down. Examples of Verbal Insults to the House: (House Name Here) zhah naubol! (House Name Here) is nothing! (Enemy house name) Ultrin! (Enemy house name) Supreme! Chapter 2: Insulting the Pantheons Drow Clerics are pure Zealots, and any insult to their god is like thrusting a branding iron right between their eyes. There are three drow dieties that I know of: Eilistrae, Lolth, and Vhaerun. For some reason, the Eilistrae drow aren't as bloodthirsty or as evil as the other two and not so easily insulted. Vhaerun and Lolth Drow both have VERY tight britches, and are therefore the most uptight. You don't even have to say a word to get them to drop their guard: To insult Lolth Drow, just crush a large spider in your hand... preferably a Black Widow Spider. Vhaerun clerics are sometimes wearing those black thief mask things, so if you can get close enough, pull the mask backwards and let it go. The snap, to the Vhaerun drow, has two meanings: 1, that Vhaerun's minions have failed, and 2: it's not so much a meaning, but the snap can be so loud and the sting can be so hard that it is almost as if slapping them with a wet, slimey fish! There are also verbal insults. These are the few examples I've been able to come up with, but note that they are only aimed at Lolth Drow, Vhaerun Drow are only angered when you insult their abilities. Examples of Verbal Taunts towards Drow Pantheons: Insults to Lolth: Lolth? Pfeh! Elghinn ulu lil orbb elg'carress Death to the spider bitch! Be advised that was in some ways sexual innuendo and might make them go berzerker on you... and when Drow women go berzerker... they go berzerker!
