The combat garderner was the best of the lot. 
It's a shame they didn't put much of their imagination into the Magic Chef. I think it be a great character class to go adventuring with...
DM: While the chef's two companions were out gathering wood in the forest, a band of goblins sneak up on the camp site attracted be the aroma of the chef's cooking. About 200 paces away, one of the lead goblins set of a ward (a trip wire connected to a bunch of pots and pans) alerting the chef to their presence. With their element of surprise gone, the goblins attack the chef.
Chef: Seeing about 10 or so hungry looking goblins rapidly closing the distance, he enchants his cookware (pots, pans, skillets and knives) which fly through the air and attack the invaders. While the goblins are momentarily occupied, he teleports to a safe distance and conjures up a pepper storm unleashing it upon his foes.
DM: Blinded, injured and sneezing uncontrollably the goblins run back into the forest. |

Very enjoyable... found most of them highly amusing. Thanks for sharing...
Come to think of it... it would brighten up a campaign considerably, to have a funny class or two played, even if it was a multiclass . Reminds me a bit of Nodwick, the henchman in the Dragon's comic... his class was rather similar to the ones described. |

Bah they stole the idea from my Monks of Chauntea for that Combat Gardener

- Cannot multiclass. Receives +5 circumstance bonus to all knowledge (plant) and craft (gardening) checks. Can use fruits and vegetables as weapons. Most common are carrots (treat as Kamas), and tomatoes (treat as Shurikens). These weapons can only do lethal damage to evil beings or those who somehow hurt the earth. Fruit and vegetable weapons obtain the Ki Strike ability as the monk levels.

Sublty is often better that slapstick anyday.
I liked the gardener too, the premise somehow reminded me of a Python sketch: the self defence class against fruits & vegetables

I could definitely see a Combat Gardener being a real threat, especially if many of your campaigns take place in the Imperial Palace gardens...
