To get a little taste of what readers think of the Realms Novels, I would advise you to read the Novels section on here on the forum. Maybe not the best reviews one can wish for, but these are reviews/comments by a bunch of enthousiastic fans of the Realms and IMO give a good impression of the quality of the novels. |

IMO, the novels of the Forgotten Realms are in the whole very well written and very enjoyable! There are very few which I have read that have slipped a fraction below the standard of the rest. In particular, as were on this topic, the Sembia Series has to be one of the best series ive read and I highly recommend them.
Hope this helps |

I've never actually read any of the novels about the forgotten realms. Would you please reply and tell me what they're like- I'm eager to see!
