Take your time to browse through the various threads on the forum, and you'll already find a lot of information. And for open questions you still might have, I would say: Ask! Sumbit your question and the 'sages' of Candlekeep will try their best to help you out.

One tip before you start, take a look at the Realms FAQ, you'll find the link on the Forum's main page.

i suspect that they created Kuldahar for purposes of having a town they could use to fit the story, with the great tree , town druids and all,

that way they could do what they wanted to it and it not effect anything in the "canon" realms timeline

if u remember from the Icewind Dale Trilogy (if youve read it)it was mentioned that anyone making the trip to Icewind Dale would stop in Luskan or anyone leaving IWD would stop there, as its the closest civilization to IWD..according to the PC game map they have Kuldahar up there right next to IWD...

in the Icewind Dale trilogy , they touch on each town for a little bit during the explination of the place and all , and in the front of the book is the map of ten towns with the "10" towns listed...

no mention of Kuldahar is ever brought up.

I dont understand the point in game developers creating extra locations for a game when there are plenty which are already there as canon to choose from. Why didnt they just pick a settlement in the region rather than add complication by suddenly springing up a new town?!

The question now is, is Kulduhar now canon?? Can anyone from WotC FR team clarify this?!

its cool, i am curious now tho if Kulduhar was made up for the game or it does exsist below the spine of the world...in "cannon"

My mistake - sorry. I'm looking at the wrong map. It's the PC game Map. Thanks for correcting me.

ArcticKnight Posted - 27 Aug 2002 : 21:19:34
??? there are 10 towns in Ten Towns, i listed the Ten...Kulduhar, if u recall, was south of the Spine of the World Mountains, and (i think) is a made up town for the Icewind Dale PC game anyway.

in the beginning of the game they travel from easthaven, through the Spine of the World Mountains(encounter the avalanche) and arrive in Kulduhar...

Someone correct me if im wrong but i have a map of ten towns in front of me showing the location and name of the ten towns of Ten Towns, and there is no Kulduhar.
