Im just fed up with elves (you can keep your age and stuff i still have my axe) well anyways i was wondering is their any good books about any dwarven civilization that i could find i really want one?

(i will thrust my dwarven axe into your elvish head, HA you may have your low light vision but i can see in the dark beat that)

So did I. I also like the dwarf that's part of the motley group in The Rage.

Yes, they could have a book about those Ice Dwarves...you know. The one in the Rage was actually an awesome character...aside from his red skin.

I recently started a thread in the novels section, hoping to get some attention there. Two authors posted similar sentiments that the best way to try and get something to happen wtih the novels is to email the WotC novels section directly, and tell them your sentiments. So there you have the thoughts of a couple authors. If ye'd like to see some novels about dwarves, I'd suggest emailing WotC about it... it's our best hope.

There just isn't any novels out there concerning dwarven civilization in FR.Been saying that for a while now. It's pretty sad to be honest.RAS is really the only one to bring dwarves to light, and some would argue that he makes a farce out of them(I'm not one of them).Mostly because of the undwarven like names. But I'm not here to discuss that. After reading Two Swords.I'm really starting to crave a novel or series concerning the dwarven civilization.

Yes... this all-dwarf party is turning out to be very interesting. If I would have known that such a thing would have been so fun I would have done it way earlier...

I like to read a lot .

sounds like it. I'm in the same boat in the sense that I like to read alot, however, I can't say I've read that many of the FR books, yet. I'm starting to gather a collection of them however, and hope to start reading through them in the fall. I read an average of a book every 2-3 days for paperbacks, and 3-5 days for hardcovers, and at the moment, I have about 10 hardcovers to read, then I'll be into the FR books, which should keep me busy for a few months anyhow. So yeah, I must agree, I love to read alot too.

Well, lookig at the list on this site, I've yet to read only about four more novels to be able to say that I've read every one that has been published so far. Only ones I'm missing are: City of Ravens, the last two WotSQ books (waiting for soft cover), and Silverfall.

I like to read a lot .

Well, I created a thread in the novels section of candlekeep, for scribes who are interested in developing a dwarven storyline/plot, I suggest you congregate there and toss out your ideas on what you'd like to see, and see if you can create a good plot and characters for a storyline. I think such a line of novels would be quite interesting myself.

Don't we all.

Although, do you have any information about who would have likely written that particular tome?
Karesch Posted - 15 Jul 2004 : 07:36:40
So, is anyone going to start a thread in the novels section calling for scribes to come together to try and work out a plot and such on Dwarves? I'd be intrigued to follow the thread if it develops.

Half-elves aren't elves, never have been, never will. They are N'Tel'Quess, actually worse than that....but alas I digress.

2. Moon
3. Wood
4. Drow
5. Star
6. Avariel
7. Lithari
8. Sea
9. The demon-spawned ones....

Did I cover all of them?

I was going to say" No...please don't mention them" but I wasn't fast enough...

Hehe... I was about to add the line "which are not in the North!" to my earlier post. It seems those are all I've ever seen myself (although if memory serves, which is not always, there is another settlement in the Harper novel:Soldiers of Ice (my first FR novel ever )). Most dwarves just seem to pop out of nowhere.

There are some new mentions, specifically the Duregar in the WotSQ series, but that is all. Anything else?
