I'm certainly interested.

Expect my email shortly...

Well met

Indeed, the "Marsember, mended!" collection of Realmslore is quite a rare find, it has been duplicated and displayed in the library for all.

I finally got the two tomes today. I see Danifae finally got a write up in the WOTSQ article in Dragon. I'm trying to figure out if the new art image in the article is her.

Bhaalspawn? DARGOTH?!?!?

*Sit quietly for a moment to avoid heart attack*

They arn't official, are they?

Seriously: What brought you around to using Bhaalspawn?

EDIT: Reading the first post - Dragon #321 also has 'Gods of the Forgotten Realms' in big writing on the front (is that what you meant?) and no mention of them within. Unless they are being as cheap and underhand as is possible - and referring to the passing references to Arvoreen and Mask...

*Sticks Cardiac Needle into Sarelles Chest*

Oh wait that was a wooden stake.... ummmm opssss

Yes there is a Bhaalspawn NPC in Banites on the MArch hes the leader of the Monks of the Longdeath Monestary in Scardale... His followers are able to pray for and cast spells if there within 1 mile of the Bhaalspawn

I noticed that, too, and was most irked about it.

I just read through this adventure last night, and it was a very enjoyable read and looks fun to play. As Garen mentions, it uses interesting characters from old Realmslore and builds on them. I do think the original reference to Delthrin is actually Forgotten Realms Adventures, though. :-)

Glad to hear another person enjoyed it. I look forward to getting the magazine as soon as one of the online stores shows it in stock.

How detailed is the map?

See, this makes me happy. Wanna know why?

1) We might get an accurate, updated map of Marsember out of the deal.
2) We're getting an adventure set in and around a Faerūnian city, rather than a generic adventure thrown out into "the Realms."
3) It's set in Cormyr (duh!).

What I like most, though, is that Delthrin the Deadmaster is a real character. He appears as far back as Volo's Guide to Cormyr, and to have an existing personality as an adventure villain, rather than one simply made up, is positively splendid. It keeps the world alive, moving, and changing.

And stores soon afterwards....I have to wait to buy Dungeon and Dragon together as it's just not wise financially to ship both seperately.

In a perfect world, both will become available at the same time as Serpent Kingdoms.

2. Not only is it in the city but there are aquatic elements as well. Being a coastal town and all.
3. Cormyr indeed. It's a pretty involved plot with 1 1/2 pages detailing the background and plot hooks.

Delthrin is statted out nicely for 3.5.
There are some pretty high EL's but a ninth level party would do pretty well for themselves.
A 6th level party would die horribly. Lots of good story telling elements.
Hope you like aquatic elves.
Wish I was running my campaign in Cormyr.

Let's wait and see how the adventure turns out. Remember Erik Mona saying he'd consulted with Ed Greenwood on at least one Dungeon module -- this may be it, which makes the Marsember hope fair.

See, that's good news to hear and thank you for sharing it.

When I read the brief description on ENWorld, I wasn't grabbed right away by what I read. That happens from time to time on some things with me and I believe with everyone else to.

Of course, I then begin to worry....oh no....they didn't cram a very gereric adventure into FR? Did they? I immediately got the image of an old TV commercial for some car place that flashed back to show two kids, one with a mallet trying to pound a square peg into a round hole while his brother looked on urging him to keep hammering and make it fit.

Thus, I thought maybe I should wait and see what others on here had to say after reviewing the adventure. However, your above information makes me feel much better that the adventure, most likely, is not at all what my worst fears were envisioning.

Thank you for sharing this information. Additionally, thank you WR for your post showing how far back the character goes. I hope I can order this Dungeon next week from FRP Games or RPGShop along with something else that I will discuss in another thread.

Actually, he goes back further than that. The old Forgotten Realms Adventures hardcover mentions him, and how he summoned a bunch of undead to defend the city against pirates.

Maps on the bedroom wall? Someone is passionate about what she likes.

Faerun or Krynn might be pushed aside and moved to make room for the new star of the hour? Poor Faerun or Krynn, they now know what it feels like now to be Matthew McConaughey.

Maps on bedroom walls isn't too unusual-the first thing to go up on mine was the map from DGttU.

Hmmm...I suppose I'll have to buy 113-need that map of Eberron now...
