Posted - 02 Jun 2004 : 06:51:29 As you can guess by the name this thread is for the Australians
I just found out that this Years Spring Revel convention in september will be held in Melbourne and they will be running a FR Legacy of the Green Regent module UNDERMOUNTAIN!
Quote from RPGA Forum
XGR3 - Undermountain Premiere - GenCon Indy (Jul 2004) Special Event - Spring Revel Downunder, Melbourne (Sep 2004) In Waterdeep, the trail of the Green Regent grows as cold as the snow and ice that encases the city during the winter months. That's until a bard's song draws you into a Castle Quarter feasthall. The song is about a tattooed orc who recently descended a well that sits in a tavern called the Yawning Portal. Will you brave that adventurer's graveyard called Undermountain in the hopes of finding Otar?
Main event tables include pre-printed battle grids, Dwarven Forge MasterMaze dungeons, and a full array of D&D Miniatures.
So a question would any of you guys be interested in playing as a group?
GeorgeK?
Sage?
LadyK?
Domestic Air fares are pretty cheap these days.......

Posted - 11 Jul 2004 : 15:23:44 I plan to get indoor heating and cooling. But not soon enough.
Maybe I should have spent my hol money on and reverse cycle system instead.... then again probably not. I'd take a hol anyday over some energy consuming device. |

Posted - 11 Jul 2004 : 15:19:45 Oh, I have indoor heating. Although it does little good here upstairs. It's why I had to purchase a portable system...

Posted - 11 Jul 2004 : 14:56:52 Be glad that you're only catching the end of our winter here. It's been particularly cold this year, more so than it has been in a long time. I'm chilled to the bone right now, and I'm sitting on a gas heater...

I'll keep two eyes open. Hopefully by then it'll be warmer. Coming from a summer climate to a winter one is killing me. |

Posted - 10 Jul 2004 : 22:26:43 as of now, only the first two LGR modules are available for download for herald gm's. They have some rules you're supposed to follow when running official rpga games, like 4players and the gm must be rpga members (or fill out rpga registration cards there), if your run more than two rpga games you need an official, or some stuff like that, your supposed to keep track of points and mail them in, ect. But it seems they don't keep track of it closely, let alone enforce it.
~ChosenOfVelsharoon last time i was involved in an rpga event, we only ran one of the three modules we ordered. |

Posted - 08 Jul 2004 : 13:03:41 Sorry for the delay. There has been no luck. My 2nd machine needs more then a spare fan. I thought I caught it before the processor fried, but that is not the case. I find myself between jobs at the momment, so the $$$ to get a used processor is not there. I won't be able to look for a while.
I DID find something, though. Just a few days ago I found out that there is some sort of package being sent to gaming stores. It has a few printed up Green Regent modules and some minis that go with the storyline. I'm told that it isn't a regular product, but it is sent to gaming stores and might be available for purchase if you ask the owners. That's all I could get from the guy who had it. The modules were printed up in the same format as that free one from RPGA. |

Confound it...
I'm heading over east tonight, but I'm only going as far as Adelaide on this trip (I'm hoping to finally find some time to drop in on George ). I'll likely won't make the Friday schedule...

Dargoth, is there any other specific information that I should know about or is this it?

Please, try not to promote the wizardly workings of kazaa and its particular brand of sharing here in the halls of Candlekeep. Let us instead steer this back to the topic of the gathering in Australia. |

I wonder how hard it would be to find copies of the "special events"?
you might find some on one of the File Swapping networks like Kazaa.
Tell me if you find any |

On the subject of Green Regent, have any of the scribes here compiled a full (to date) list of the titles in the series. I am not sure if my list is fully complete, but the following are titles that I have researched to be in the series
LGR1 Extermination LGR2 Gray Hunt LGR3 Key to Phantom's Cloister LGR4 Secret of Phantom's Cloister LGR5 Dark Exodus LGR6 Epidemic LGR7 Nature and Nurture LGR8 Rat’s Bastard LGR9 Denial of Resource
LGX1 Under the High Lord's Hall
LGR15 Caravan to Waterdeep LGR16 In Cold Blood XGR3 Undermountain
Are there other titles? Going by the tag numbers it seems there are quite a few between LGR9 and LGR15.
Here are all the modules I have heard of in order:
LGR1 - Extermination by Stephen Radney-MacFarland Premiere - GenCon Indy (Jul 2003) Convention - Sep 18, 2003 Game Day/Retail - Oct 15, 2003 Home - Nov 15, 2003 Retire - Dec 31, 2003 As if the Gray Migrations weren't bad enough, word has it goblinoids are raiding the road between Loudwater and the stoutheart halfling community of Shining Falls. Can a good mix of halfling wrath and adventure ingenuity make the road safe again?
LGR2 - Gray Hunt by Ed Greeley Premiere - GenCon Indy (Jul 2003) Convention - Sep 18, 2003 Game Day/Retail - Oct 15, 2003 Home - Nov 15, 2003 Retire - Dec 31, 2003 The Oath of Orlbar has kept the peace between Loudwater and Llorkh for the past few years. Now the Zhents claim orcs are raiding settlements from across the River Loagrann. According to the oath the High Lord must "impede all armed insurgence from the west" into Llorkh territory. Gauntlet Thelbrimm – not a man to take a Zhent at face value – is sending you to assess the situation before he is forced to take further action.
LGR3 - Key to Phantom’s Cloister by Irving Domanski Convention - Nov 6, 2003 Game Day/Retail - Dec 1, 2003 Home - Dec 20, 2003 Retirement - Jan 25, 2004 A strange visitation on the streets of Loudwater leads to the search for what's behind an ancient spectral mystery. An adventure optimized for 2nd-level characters.
LGR5 - Dark Exodus by Christopher Lindsay Premiere - GenCon So-Cal, Dec 2003 Convention - Jan 1, 2004 Game Day/Retail - Feb 1, 2004 Home - Mar 1, 2004 Retirement - Apr 24, 2004 The heroes investigate the migration of orcs out of the High Forest. Though it seems fate may conspire against them on their quest. A Legacy of the Green Regent adventure optimized for 3rd-level characters.
LGR6 - Epidemic by Christopher Lindsay Premiere - GenCon So-Cal, Dec 2003 Convention - Apr 9, 2004 Game Day/Retail - May 9, 2004 Home - Jun 9, 2004 Retirement - Jul 9, 2004 A strange plague threatened Loudwater and the Delimbiyr Crescent. The race is on to find the cause and the cure before the verdant region becomes a graveyard. A Legacy of the Green Regent adventure optimized for 3rd-level characters.
LGR7 - Nurture and Nature by Eric Menge Premiere - Winter Fantasy, Jan 2004 Convention - Feb 20, 2004 Game Day/Retail - Mar 20, 2004 Home - Apr 20, 2004 Retirement - Jun 16, 2004 Caravans are coming under attack, and this time it's not the Hark's fault. And the raiders are not only interested in gold, but it seems gold elves as well, as some have been kidnapped. Stranger yet, it is said that the bandits are the brigands under the command of a woman who claims to be a princess of fallen Eaerlann. Optimized for 4th-level characters.
LGR8 - Rat's Bastard Premiere - Winter Fantasy, Jan 2004 Convention/Retail - May 21, 2004 Game Day - May 21, 2004 Home - Jun 21, 2004 Retirement - Jul 29, 2004 For many tendays rumors have persisted that some of the Hark's brood have infiltrated the City of Grottos. After the underground attack on the High Lord's son, many believe that wererats were left behind, to strike when the folks of Loudwater least expect. Now the civic-minded are on the lookout for rats, and everyone knows that the docks are the best place to find them. Optimized for 4th-level characters.
LGR9 - Denial of Resource by Ed Greeley Convention/Retail - Apr 16, 2004 Game Day - May 16, 2004 Home - Jun 16, 2004 Retirement - Jul 16, 2004 A young red dragon is getting bolder. As its terrorizing grows more successful, evil power groups in the Delimbiyr Vale desire to harness its might. Can you do Loudwater a great service by denying the Zhentarim this powerful resource?
Comming soon hopefully:
LGR4 - Secret of Phantoms’ Cloister Planned release: mid November 2003, indefinitely delayed
LGR10 - Into the Fallen Lands
LGR13 - Book Knowledge by Eric Williamson Premiere - Origins, June 2004 A cursed book, dragon-worshiping elves, and a missing sage seem strangely seem connected to the fate of the Green Regent. It’s up to you to piece it all together.
LGR14 - Native Intelligence Premiere - Origins, June 2004 Rumors persist that Otar, the Green Regent, is hiding in the High Forest, but exiled orcs of that forest insist that can’t be so. Can you discover the truth?
LGR15 - Caravan to Waterdeep Premiere - GenCon Indy, Jul 2004 All auguries point to Waterdeep. Now it's a matter of getting there before the winter snows close the northern roads. With the elven houses denying any magical aid to those searching for the Green Regent, the only route open is the last caravan heading to the City of Splendors.
LGR16 - In Cold Blood Premiere - GenCon Indy, Jul 2004 Hearts run colder in a city already trapped in Auril's crystalline clutches, as the death count rises. Wintering in Waterdeep turns deadly when an elusive killer makes its mark in the City Splendors.
Exclusives ----------
LGX1 - Under the High Lord's Hall Premiere - GenCon Indy (Jul 2003) Special Event - Spring Revel Downunder (Sep 2003), GenCon So-Cal (Dec 2003) Note - will be available as part of Adventure Bundle 1. XGR2 - Dungeon of the Hark Premiere - Winter Fantasy (Jan 2004) Special Event - The B.I.G. Weekend (May 2004) "Heroes of Loudwater, flock to my banner and let us do a good thing for the entire Delimbiyr. Too long has the Hark and his brood tormented the tradeways between Loudwater and the Sword Coast. To long has it infected it plague to others. And now there is evidence that it wants to expand its territory into our very city. It is the duty to all good people to diminish this foe. I go, who goes with me?" -- Stedd Rein, 13th of Eleint, Year of Wild Magic A Winter Fantasy Special Adventure. Optimized for 4th-level characters.
