I have an assignment coming up where we have to do a speech on a topic of our our choosing and I thought I would delve into a specific time period of the Forgotten Realms. What better time period than the best f*ck up ever. Karsus' Folly. Any resources, videos, pdfs, drives etc, all knowledge is welcomed as I want to make this as in -depth as possible. Also could anyone explain how he ascended and the Mystryl-Mystra conundrum as I can't really wrap my head around it. |

I watched MrRhexx's video on the Netherese time period, read the basic notes in Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden about Karsus and looked through Netheril empire of Magic, there is also quite a handy expansion pdf called Skies Of Netheril

Actually, those are good suggestions. I never picked up the Arcane Age products except for one (and that was a pdf that a friend sent me). Yes, check out Netheril: Empire of Magic (2e). |

I know there's quite a bit of information on the Netheril Empire in the 3E Lost Empires of Faerun. I would also check out the 3E Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, which has a bit of information in it about Karsus and the fall of the Netheril Empire. Finally, I would check out the 2E Netheril: Empire of Magic. I haven't read that last one but I have found that 2E books tend to contain the most in depth lore on any subject related to the Realms. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a treasure trove of information. |

Do you have a copy of Magic of Faerun by Sean K Reynolds, Duane Maxwell, and Angel McCoy? The book covers Karsus and his folly in some detail. It's on page 4 and 5.
