I used to play ONWN on aol back many years ago and have been looking for a game similar for quite some time. If you don't know what I am talking about, it was pretty much the first mmorpg made. Check the game out and see if you like it. Just letting you know cause I was looking for it for a long time and would have played earlier if I knew about it. The game is free, you create your character ad&d style, you can join a guild, and lots of peeps on at night to help you if you need.

More like Psychic Frauds Network. She was pretending to be some cuban voodoo shaman or somesuch while for one thing. For another lawyers are currently doing things to her that I thought only burly half orc cell mates named "Bubba" can do, over a massive scheme of her overcharging people.

I actually find it all highly amusing.

Actually, I meant in regard to my own references...

Why would you feel like a nerd? It's a North American reference...we can't expect the Aussies to get it...

I'd just like to say that while I know of two characters in two different genres that have the name "Cleo", I'm unsure of the particular reference you've used here.

Care to explain?

Miss Cleo is the foremost expert in the American Psychic Friends network, or whatever it's called-a group of apparent psychics that do readings over the phone. Needless to say, she's not very well respected...

Indeed. What does your signature reference, if I may ask?

It references that WOTC has decided to remove half of the deities that existed back in 1/2e in FR. Like the fey deities, many of the monster deities, most of the draconic pantheon, etc.

What's with the new avatar, Sage? You look very stern. Almost like you are in bad mood something. Has someone upset you?

if it crashes as soon as you enter game it means your direct x prolly isn't uptodate with the newist version. If you have any other probelem post in the FW Forums and i'm sure the staff will help you. Look forward to seeing you in game!

I certainly am.

However the game has turned out to be a huge disappoinment.

I've just spent an eternity trying to download the game files (using a 1 Meg cable connection) and finally succeeded on the fourth attempt. Running the game allows you to log on and then it immediately crashes.

It would be nice to think that these people had actually done a few tests on the software themselves before asking the public to waste time downloading the files.

Never mind, back to NWN I suppose.

You really are a devotee of the "old ways" aren't you kahonen...?
kahonen Posted - 20 May 2004 : 12:43:40
Wow! This looks very good and could be the first on-line game I'd want to try. Reminds me very much of the graphics on the old FR (Eye of the Beholder etc) and Ultima games..

I guess I'll be downloading the files this weekend and giving it a go
The Sage Posted - 20 May 2004 : 11:14:20
It's not really FR related though .

Aside from that particular fact though, it is worthwhile looking into this as a matter of course. Perhaps Alaundo can find some place more appropriate for the URL you have provided.
