Hishnahide Leather – A type of simple leather which is typically used in the creation of armor or Hishnahide Horrors. Hishnahide leather gives the wearer the ability to use martial weapons made from fangs, horns, talons, or similar animal parts, such as antler staves, sharktooth macas, displacer whips, and maduvu, as if they had proficiency.
Antler Staff – A commonly used weapon within this tharch by both warriors and spellcasters, an antler staff is created from the shed or harvested antlers of dire elks, an animal which is actually fairly common in the kaaya'yeeda and Adusgi Forest areas. The two antlers are set to opposite ends of a short staff made of duskwood or hardened bone and then magically hardened to the strength of steel. The resulting weapon is a martial weapon that does 1d8 piercing damage one handed, with the versatile property (doing 1d10 damage in that case). Antler staves seem to be particularly effective when enchanted to perform hishna magics related to horn, fang, claw, or talon.
Displacer Whip – This hishna crafted weapon is a whip which is made from the tentacle of a dead displacer beast. Due to the hishna magic instilled within it, the wielder is mildly displaced, the result being that his armor class is treated as if his dexterity were two points higher.
Hornwood Bow - detail this later... basically a bow made of deer antlers that have been made flexible.
Maduvu – a type of light weapon made of a pair sharpened antlers that are created such that they function as a piercing weapon in either direction and the base of each serves as a part of the hilt. Over the grip, a small metal or bluewood shield it attached. These weapons are typically created from a pair of jackalope or almiraj horns that have been magically strengthened. The resulting weapon acts as a dagger in all ways if used as a weapon, except that it requires martial weapon proficiency and also provides a +1 armor bonus that does not stack with shield use. However, the use of a two or more maduvu does provide a +2 armor bonus, and thus these weapons are favored by some two weapon fighters in Anchorome.
Sharktooth Maca – This is a macahuitl which is typically created using the teeth of a giant shark rather than sharpened obsidian for its edges. However, many other things, such as the claws and teeth of predatory animals have also been used in the creation of these weapons. These weapons are created through the use of hishna crafting techniques and are often some of the first weapons created by young artisans. This process strengthens and sharpens the animal parts used, such that they can stand up against steel crafted weapons. In game terms, a sharktooth maca is a martial melee weapon that weighs 4 pounds, does 1d8 slashing damage and is versatile (1d10).
