The resulting weapon acts as a dagger in all ways if used as a weapon, except that it requires martial weapon proficiency and also provides a +1 armor bonus that does not stack with shield use. However, the use of a two or more maduvu does provide a +2 armor bonus, and thus these weapons are favored by some two weapon fighters in Anchorome.
