One of the things I always loved about other systems was the life paths, has anyone ever tried to do something like that for the realms.
I'm thinking of a roll / event per year. You have 12 years as a child. Then a number of years as an adult.
Need separate paths for peasant, slave, tradesman, professional, merc, noble.
Also need separate paths specific for each region, then I figure you can swap out results.

Posted - 20 Feb 2021 : 16:18:14 Why not start with Warhammer RPG? It has a boatload of those, just decide how to convert. Or if you want already OSR, there are several options even just for SWN and related games. - SWN Original Edition background + training packages: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/86467/Stars-Without-Number%3A-Free-Edition -.. its Sword Spear & Sorcery expansion in Spears of the Dawn (in public preview, too): https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/110293/Spears-of-the-Dawn - detailed lifepath system for SWN Original Edition in Sandbox magazine: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/154238/The-Sandbox-2 - core background/advancements system of SWN Revised Edition: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/230009/Stars-Without-Number-Revised-Edition-Free-Version -... its Sword & Sorcery style expansion for it in Worlds Without Number (not released yet, but beta versions are freely available): https://np.reddit.com/r/WWN/comments/krrt14/wwn_latest_version/ Also, there are some conversions to Burning Wheel version and some links on "Take on Rules" blog: https://takeonrules.com/tags/lifepaths/ |
