Rakiki and the Teapot Fiend
Hello, I are Rakiki, sometimes called Rakiki the Red when Rakiki the brown or Rakiki the white are around. I NOT "squirrelfolk", and you no call me that. I are a kercpa. I know you hooman, so you not know say right. I say slow and sound out for you. I are a K-ER-K-PUH. I know sound out help peoples, cause helps me too when I learn speak hooman language from wizzy-funny-hat-man from Fort Fire. I are berry telligent and I learn speak hooman in just tree tenday. I also learn magics from snow elves, frost sprites, and even study under wizzy-funny-hat-man.
Anyways, point of story is I give you great warnings. I are Rakiki, and I berry smart. You heed my words, and I lead you down paths of safetyness. Safetyness berry portant or people die. You understand? You listen Rakiki, and he show you what like to be great leader.
So, story start in Fort Fire, where Rakiki learning from wizzy-funny-hat-man. Rakiki is good friend and helps wizzy-funny-hat-man with studies of herba---herba, um plant stuff. Like all kercpa, Rakiki is particularly smart plant stuff compared hooman, because kercpa lib in forest. Kercpa also no CAR-NEE-BORE, you know eats-meats. No, Rakiki eats plants and so brain fast, not brain slow like CAR-NEE-BORE. Rakiki teach wizzy-funny-hat-man after wizzy-funny-hat-man mix up honeyberries and golden shadow berries for making tea. Rakiki smart like Rititisk the Clever. Rakiki sabe wizzy-funny-hat-man from nasty man-wolf who sneak up on him while him is speaking 'bout rainbows and no-no touch spots and making kissy face with horse. Oh, wizzy-funny-hat-man gibing me look. Him not like me talk about sabing him and what him is do when Rakiki first find him. Rakiki not know why. Is good people know not mix up honeyberries and golden shadow berries. But that not reason for story.
One day, Rakiki and wizzy-funny-hat-man go into forest. They seeking fire peppers to get seeds so grow new bushes at Fort Fire. Hoomans like taste fire peppers, but kercpa no like. Gives burn butt. Is long walk to forest from fort, so Rakiki take Keekee, him's winged cougar friend. Wizzy-funny-hat-man call Keekee "biggest tressym he eber see". Keekee fly high abub trees so scout ahead, and Rakiki watch, so keep ground friend safetyness. Ebentually, both get tired, and Rakiki spot place for make camp. Is got rocks for make fire pit and Rakiki hungry for roast carrots and acorns. Soon after make camp, wizzy-funny-hat-man head into woods to find tree with soft leabes for clean up hiny. Him learn from Rakiki 'bout plant stuff and know not use stinging bush leabes like other silly hooman. Sometimes I think hoomans is forest-dumb.
So, Rakiki decide is time for make pot acorn and blueberry tea, and start look in hooman's bags. Rakiki not find normal tea pot, but him find one smaller and shiny metal make. Has picture cloud on side and funny letters not like other hooman letters. Rakiki think "oh well, we make small pot. Is still tea.". Rakiki put teapot on rocks by fire so make hot leaf juice before add ground acorn and blueberry jam. Few minutes later, is start whistle noise and hot steam is coming out of spout tea pot. But then whistle noise turn into angry yelling, and steam turn into strange, bearded hooman with cloud legs. Rakiki look at weird hooman, who wears silly best with no shirt and twisty cloth hat with bluejay feather sticking up. Rakiki no help it. Rakiki start laughing at air-leg-hooman.
Air-leg-hooman is look all about like crazy man, shouting "Who dares set my lamp aflame? Is this some trickery of the Efreeti?". Finally, him hear Rakiki laughing, and him look down. Air-leg-hooman's face go confused, like horse-kick head, but him is appear berry angry. "Who and what are you, squirrel-thing, and why have you desecrated my lamp by making it boiling hot? Answer me little one, for I am an all-powerful djinn, and I shall not be mocked. Do not ask me for wishes, as I am not in the mood. Anger me and I shall eat you with candied dates. " With that, the djinn pulled forth a large curved blade and threatened the little red furred creation and his growling cougar tressym companion.
Rakiki is faced yet again with silly dumb hooman with silly dumb hooman questions. "I are Rakiki, and I NOT SQUIRREL-THING. I are KERCPA. Rakiki say slow for you... K-ER-K-PUH. You is CAR-NEE-BORE, so you is brain slow, and I forgib you being meanie-not-nice. I know you not understand, so Rakiki explain. Rakiki smart and learn magics. You no threaten Rakiki or Rakiki throw fire and shocky-shocks. You not like feel those, so you shut big, dumb mouth. I no have wishes except you open ears. What you is call lamp is teapot. Rakiki make tea. Rakiki is got ground acorn and blueberry jam, so as add to leaf juice, and make sweet tasty tea. If you is shutting up, Rakiki willing share with new friend. But you must swear not scare Keekee, and when other hooman return, you no threaten him either. Deal?"
And that is how wizzy-funny-hat-man walk out of woods to find Rakiki sipping acorn and blueberry tea with genie, and all became good friends.
