Posted - 17 Apr 2020 : 00:04:12 I am compiling for my research papers cited exact quotes in separate documents. This is essentially all non-3rd-party information published officially on the topics of my Forgotten Realms essay. For example, the 1st research paper, which I am currently working on, is on Jazirian, Couatls, and Uroboros, and so this document will contain all quotes I can find from every WOTC/TSR/official source on these 3 topics possible. I also am considering having a separate 3rd document filled with all idea located here and elsewhere on the internet I find interesting pertaining to said topics. This will all have links to their original discussion locations(the ideas) and citations (the quotes). |

*obligatory "well, yes, but actually, no" meme* Yes but not really. The wiki doesn't just quote things, but I do see your point. |

Posted - 17 Apr 2020 : 00:33:30 Jazirian got some overview mentions in 2E but received most attention in Planescape: Guide to Hell. Which is somewhat inconvenient since the entire creation myth involving Jazirian, Ouroboros, and Asmodeus presented from that book is implausoble and inconsistent from the perspective of all other published "canon". It's a good sourcebook, overall, but it includes this (and other) sections of rather bad writing.
3E barely touched on Jazarian. Brief descriptions (more or less the same old 2E lore, with a few embellishments) presented in Faiths & Avatars and Serpent Kingdoms.
And 4E took Asmodeus in a completely new direction. Which tacitly invalidated the 2E-based Jazirian-Asmodeus myth.
